Review

"Brigitte Gabriel eloquently reminds America what is truly at stake in this struggle against terrorism: our families, our way of life, and our hopes. Ms. Gabriel's personal account of her own experience is riveting, compelling and spellbinding. This is a must read for the entire American public . . . This book contains monumental revelations that will shock and disturb you. But it is also a story of an indomitable spirit--Brigitte's-- that will move you."
--Steve Emerson, author of "American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Amongst Us, "Executive Director, the Investigative Project on Terrorism
"A compelling and captivating personal story with a powerful lesson about threats to freedom in our time."--R. James Woolsey, Director of Central Intelligence, 1993-95
"Brigitte Gabriel's story is at once intensely personal and possessing global significance . . . the story of her family and her childhood encapsulates the threat that faces the entire free world today. Brigitte Gabriel's words should be read, and studied carefully, by all the law enforcement and government officials of the West -- as well as by everyone who values freedom." -- Robert Spencer, author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)"
""Because They Hate" should be read by all to understand radical Islam. Brigitte . . . . This book gives dire warning of what is to come if the democratic and Western world does not take responsible action to protect its people and societies. The United States is the primary target as Islamic Radicalism attempts to spread its worldwide dominance."--Paul E. Vallely, Maj. General US Army (Ret.), FOX News Channel Military Analyst, and coauthor of "Endgame: TheBlueprint for Victory in the War on Terror"

-- Robert Spencer, author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)"

Brigitte Gabriel lost her childhood to militant Islam, when militant Muslims from throughout the Middle East poured into Lebanon and declared jihad against the Lebanese Christians. "Because They Hate "warns that the US is threatened by fundamentalist Islamic theology in the same way Lebanon was radical Islam will stop at nothing short of domination of all non-Muslim countries.

Fiercely articulate and passionately committed, "Because They Hate "tells Gabriel's personal story as well as outlines the history, social movements, and religious divisions that have led to this critical historical conflict.

BRIGITTE GABRIEL is a US-based journalist and news producer who started her career as an anchor for "World News," an evening Arabic news program broadcast throughout the Middle East. As a terrorism expert and the founder of the nonprofit organization American Congress for Truth, Brigitte Gabriel travels widely and speaks regularly on topics related to the Middle East.

Not surprisingly muslims will dredge up their normal nonsense about the crusades to Damn Christians.

That was 900 years ago. People thought the world was flat 900 years ago and yet these poor victimised muslims are still using events of nearly a thousand years ago to justify their violence.

ARABS and Muslims will always fight as they are tribal people and have not progressed culturally for the last 300 years.

What have the Arabs EVER given the world to enrich it? To take forward humanity?

The Greeks gave us democracy, the ROMANS numerous engineering and building innovations and feats.

The French glorious food.

The Germans, mechanical efficiency and organisation.

The ENGLISH the industrial revolution

The Americans huge technological advancement.

But what, other than fighting have the ARABS ever contributed to the world over the last 1000 years?????!!

Nothing, and I believe it is a deep down resentment that the supposed pratitioners of the "only true religion" have not been blessed with any great feats, and remained in general backward people that drives their jealousy of the west.

They are led by developments of culture in Europe rather than make any innovation or creative change themselves.

They just copy!!! Never invent or innovate.

Brigitte Gabriel has the guts to ignore political correctness.

ISLAM "the religion of peace"

It would be laughable if it wasn't so ridiculous.

A religion that refuses to accept any others faith and yet violently demands respect for its religion.

Shame on the disgraceful hypocrites!!!

In this frightening but pertinent and timeous warning this courageous woman of truth and vision, Brigitte Gabriel, warns the USA and the world of the danger faced by Islamo-Fascism, and how ignoring or appeasing this threat will result in the ruthless and bloody islamification of the USA and other Western societies unless we face this cancer and act now.

Gabriel points out how "Today, radical Islam's war rages with varying degrees of intensity throughout the world, not only against Christians and Jews in the West but also against Hindus, Buddhists, Copts, indeed all non-Muslim infidels. The radical Islamists decree of zealotry even has them attacking other denominations within Islam itself. Islamic radicals are instigating and perpetuating terrorist campaigns, insurgencies, civil wars, minority suppression and ethnic cleansing and/or genocide in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chad, Chechnya, Dagestan, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kashmir, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Macedonia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, the Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, territories administered by the Palestinian authority, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, the United States of America, Yemen and Zanzibar".

Brigitte Gabriel, lived as a ten year old girl through the terror as of Muslims from across the world flooded into Lebanon to wage a bloody and ruthless jihad against Lebanese Christians in which over 60 000 Lebanese Christian men, women and children were butchered. A horrific exercise in ethnic cleansing that was ignored by the world and by those who's self-proclaimed task was to stand up for human rights.

My thanks go to Ms Gabriel for having the courage to speak the truth, for this matters to all of us in the West. We need to know what the threat is, before we can do anything about it. Ms Gabriel takes us through a heart rending tale of the fate of dhimmi populations (non-Muslims) in a Muslim dominated world, and it is not a nice prospect. A world where your neighbours would happily kill you, given half a chance.

But this has all happened before, if we did but know it, but still we have not learned the lessons. The Romo-Byzantine nations of Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Turkey were all once Christian nations. But, like Ms Gabriel in Lebanon, their citizens were all massacred, oppressed, taxed, and subsumed. Like Ms Gabriel in Lebanon, large proportions of these populations fled from North Africa and Anatolia in fear of their very lives, leaving behind wholly Islamic nations.

And while Ms Gabriel was able to find kindness and sanctuary in Israel, a nation she had been taught to fear, this does mean that Lebanon herself is yet further denuded of her Christian and other minority populations. How long will it be, before Lebanon is wholly Islamic, just like North Africa and Anatolia have become?

Not a comfortable read, but one that will open your eyes to what is behind the news. A lot of the violence and hate is ingrained in the cultures and the social pressure, that goes with it. This true story is like a sojourn and a survival of coming out from under the blanket of deception in her part of the Middle East, including her own Christian culture. This book will help you see a truer picture of what motivates Islam and the emptiness of that path and the danger that it is to the world.
