5.0 out of 5 stars A must for fans of BOC, mu-ziq, aphex twin and the like. 23 Oct. 2001
By Matthew Koroghlian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I purchased this cd recently and I have to say that it is one of the better ambient, electronic albums I've heard in awhile. The melodies are bright, much like Boards Of Canada, or some of the quieter Aphex Twin pieces. Most of the soft, melodic elements are balanced well with harsher, more metallic drum rhythms. This album is well produced and unique in its sound. I would recommend this cd to almost anyone I know. Very solid. I look forward to hearing more from Tim Tetlow.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not a lot seems to be known abot London-based Tim Tetlow. 21 Feb. 2002
By Pash - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Tetlow creates quite an old mixture of melodic science programme theme tune keyboard lines and varying degrees of crisp thumping beats. The tracks here are all pretty similar in feel, though vary quite significantly in pace. The insistent beats on "Mind is moving" grab your attention entice you to listen, the abstract qualities of "Written in my soul" have a similar effect. "Trapped Surfaces" is another simpler and gentler sounding, utilising more organic oriental xylophone and wind instrument sounds.
I gave 5 * because there is not a lot of such music in the world.[....]
