I loved this book. It had romance, mystery, sadness, and mystical content. I'd read it again and again. Only wish it were in paperback as well as e-form. If you have romance in your soul, this is most definitely the book for you!

HASH(0x926db564) out of 5 stars A Perfect Fantasy and a Feast of Beauty 24 Oct. 2011

The Feast of Beauty

With her lyrical and yet realistic voice, the author transfers us from a stressful reality to a sensual fantasy world where the heroine forgets her sadness and where the reader shares her amazement. H. Scott-Taylor's delightful descriptions and fast pace keep the reader enthralled from the first page to the last. A lovely novella to be read in one sitting.

HASH(0x926db5b8) out of 5 stars An interesting modern day fairytale 6 Feb. 2012
By Sally Pink Reviews - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Set in Cork County, Ireland, Kate and her TV production company are doing a feature on the midsummer feast of beauty. Their host is Esras, a wealthy, eccentric man. When he spots the pearl around Kate's neck, he realizes Kate is the woman he's been waiting for. Will modern Kate forsake her heritage or embrace it, accepting Esras as a husband?

Taylor's story captures the ambience of a modern day fairytale. Kate is a hard working modern-day girl. She finds an intriguing stranger who is a true prince charming. I enjoyed how the author's imagination brought the romantic setting to life. Both Kate and Esras had an interesting backstory. "Feast of Beauty" is a nice romantic escape for a rainy Saturday afternoon.

HASH(0x92c980e4) out of 5 stars Celtic Fantasy Romance 8 Jan. 2013
By Sue E. Pennington - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The Feast of Beauty is a beautiful tale of the destiny of love. Esras Mac Lir (king of the tiny fishing village of Knocknapog, Ireland, as well as the watery underworld just offshore) has been waiting all of his life for his queen and one true love to come back to fulfill their destiny of true and lasting love. Kate (a production assistant at a television company) has booked a filming of the Midsummer Feast of Beauty at Knocknapog in order to return her grandmother's pearl pendant to the village in Ireland where Kate was born. Her grandmother, however, did not tell Kate what she is to do with the pendant when she gets there. Esras knows that Kate is to be his "Queen of the Midsummer Feast of Beauty" as soon as he sees her and is determined to convince her of this even though Kate believes his attention is misplaced and should instead be directed to the star of the show instead of her. It is a lovely short story, and I am sure that those readers who love a celtic fantasy romance will enjoy it very much.

HASH(0x926db840) out of 5 stars Charming Celtic Tale 17 April 2012
By Joan Reeves - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The Feast of Beauty is a fantasy NOVELLA with sweet charm and whimsical characters.

Kate, longing to believe in magic yet resistant to its intrusion into her reality, is vulnerable and a bit lost. Her hero in the form of Esras Mac Lir, enchants and confuses her--just as all good fairy tale heroes do. Will they live happily ever after?

Ms. Taylor takes "once upon a time," adds a sensual undertone, tosses in a pinch of Cinderella at the ball, and cooks up a modern Celtic fairy tale that is sure to delight fantasy romance fans.
