Featuring female psychedelia, folk and sunshine pop from the past and present, this is an worthwhile compilation. Highlights include the gorgeous 'Paisley Window Pane' by 60's US West coast sisters Wendy & Bonnie and Swedish songstress Turid's 'Lat Mig Se Dig' - an eight minute psych folk classic where her vocals drift in and out. Of the more recent tracks, 'Branches Low' by Lights and Lispector's 'Peachtree Street' are standouts. Recommended, as is Feel The Spirit: Other Worldly Folk Music Gems And Psychedelics, which should appeal to anyone who enjoys this album.

The tracklist:

1. Speck Mountain - Hey-Moon
2. Wendy & Bonnie - Paisley Window Pane
3. Magpahi - Horses
4. Emma Tricca - Martin and Me
5. Selda - Gesi Baglari
6. Lispector - Peachtree Street
7. Bonnie Dobson - Milk & Honey
8. Turid - Lat Mig Se Dig
9. Heather Jones - Colli Iaith
10. Lights - Branches Low
11. Susan Christie - Rainy Day
12. Jane Weaver - All These Rivers
13. Brigitte Fontaine - Le Goudron
14. Heaven & Earth - Refuge
15. Cate Le Bon - Disappear

There are many gems on this compilation that would deserve to become more widely known.
It is very accessible while having an experimental and underground quality at the same time.
If you enjoyed albums like the early Devendra Banhart, Sung Tongs or Vashti Bunyan, these adventurous and exotic folk tunes will make you happy.

Ridiculous title matches the somewhat odd sleeve notes which becoame a case of seperating fact from fiction
Many of these little known girl singers had previous lives-thus Susan Christie made the lower end of the Hot 100 in the mid 60s with I Love Onions after which silence until now.
Bonnie Dobson may be the most familar name-the author of the song Morning Dew cut a few albums of mainly bluegrass.
