I'm a fan of Lani Lynn Vale's books but have to hold my hands up and admit that I've not yet read The Dixie Wardens series..... something that I will now rectify once I have time!

Beard Mode was a great read and a really good start to the new The Dixie Wardens Rejects MC series.

I really liked both Imogen and Aaron. Though very different in character they hit it off from the start and even the fact that neither of them initially seemed to be looking for a relationship (Aaron 'cos he had trust issues after life with his ex-wife and Imogen had enough on her plate without adding in any other complications....) life seemed to have other plans for them!

We had a supporting cast made up of family and friends (some of whom I'm sure will have featured in The Dixie Wardens books) and the story had a lot of heat, action, heartbreak and laughter.
I was worried that having not read the first series that I would maybe be a little lost going into Beard Mode but I thoroughly enjoyed the book (even not knowing who some of the characters were) and I'm looking forward to Fear the Beard which we got a quick idea about in Aaron & Imogen's story!

I'm giving Beard Mode 4.5*

I've read most of Lani Lynn Vales books but lately I've been feeling a little let down by them. This was a prime example. This story is mostly well-written, I liked the characters. The plot is interesting but sometimes I can't follow the story, it jumps about without the paragraphs linking or the story been clear. I often find myself rereading wondering whether I've skipped a page or not or even that its a faulty download.
Otherwise, I enjoyed it, Aaron is the flawed hero, Imogen the heroine who falls for him quickly, she was a little of a let down though. As a former marine, I thought she'd do more.
The book is a fairly expensive one and does feel rushed. I'd like to see mire detail and a really good edit.

Loved the relationship between the hero and heroine. The heroine is strong and feisty, there were a few things that I felt weren't explained properly but that could just be my understanding. Great writing.

Just another absolutely fantastic story from this kicka** author!
I never like to say favourites however this author is by far my favourite ever. Not only do I not think before going on a pre-order shopping spree with her books. I never have a bad word to say about them.

The story is seemless! The characters as per are amazing!.
Full of love, humour and a little heartbreak, this story it now added to my long a** list of Lani books i love(all of them).

xo
