About the Author

Karma Wilson's first poem was published at the tender age of six. The poem was ironically titled, "I Don't Wanna Write a Poem!" Growing up, she had no desire to write. But Providence had different plans, and now Karma writes poems for a living when she's not busy being a wife and raising three kids. Karma is the bestselling author of Bear Snores On and Bear Wants More, as well as If I Were a Mouse, Give Thanks to the Lord, and I Will Rejoice.

Jane Chapman is Principal Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Lincoln.

This is a charming book - a wonderfully written story with beautiful rhymes and an interactive snoring sound that older babies love to push and make the snoring sound! This was bought as a gift and our baby LOVES it, and we love reading out aloud, over and over and over again! Would love to see more by this author.

Never mind my three year old, I love this book. The rhythmic words coupled with the beautiful illustrations make it a pleasure to read, and my three year old loves it.
It's the story of bear trying to sleep through the winter, while his friends seek shelter from the snow in his lair, you keep expecting him to wake up and eat them!
I find that it's too stimulating for bed time but perfect for an afternoon cuddle session or when cheering up is needed.

My son loves this story. We read it together often and as well as the pictures being completely lovely (the bear is so adorable!) the word repetition and rhyme make this book that extra bit enjoyable especially as my Son can join in then saying the repeated line with me.

I recommend this book to anyone with young children (and adults who want a cute read!)

We absolutely love this book. The story is rhythmic and poetic and fun. The added bonus of getting your little one involved in the reading by pressing the snoring sound button at the right time is a joy. My 2 daughters both love this and my eldest often quotes sections of it as its a fun boo to read. There are some children's books that you buy and then wonder how on earth they ever got published but this one is a classic and I can see it being just as popular over time. It really is a good book that children can get involved with.

This book is lovely, initially we borrowed it from the library but loved it so much we decided to buy a copy. The rhythm and timbre are brilliant, you can't help but fall in love with this little book, and the extra snore button is very popular with my children.

This book is a joy to read aloud. My two sons both enjoy the glorious illustrations and the way the text allows me to alter my voice - quiet, loud, scary, squeaky, sad. A truly wonderful book!

This is a wonderful book and we read it to our son most nights. A lovely rhyming story that we now know by heart.

I would recommend to any parent, lovely story and pictures. Just great.

It is a rhyming book, not dumbed down for children which is a refreshing change.
It uses varied vocabulary and lots of animals. I think the writing is better than average for children's books.
My son, of course, loves the button of the bear snoring.
The sturdy book has also withstood a lot of manhandling from my nearly 2 year old.
Sweet tale.
