The temperature has dropped down to -16C and the jacket is fending off the cold well, even without a scarf and with normal winter winter layers beneath. The neck wraps tight and the closure to the hood can act as a mask when the wind is brisk. Lots of pockets with easy access. The fabric of the coat is soft and light, not bulky at all. It was made so that most features can be zipped/closed with gloves on. Not sure if it is made for arctic weather but it has conquered a chilly winter so far.

The coat is very well manufactured and warm, although it hasn’t been put to the test as temperatures remain quite warm at the moment (Dec 2104)
I used the size guide on Amazon and it was a perfect fit for my 6ft height, 43” chest.
It is almost as per the description, but 500+ down not 900+ as in the description.
You may think this will be a heavy, cumbersome to move around in, in fact its light weight and very flexible, I think you could go running in it, if it was for the fact you would over heat with 2 minutes, but if you’re going to have a snow ball battle, it won’t hinder your throwing arm….

A good jacket but not worth the asking price. The positives, great looking jacket in terms of style, multiple pockets for every purpose and a comfy fur lined hood.

But I ordered this jacket and a similarly priced product from Columbia. The difference in quality was night and day. The bear grylls jacket was manufactured in China and it's evident when compared side by side with the Columbia. The quality of the zips, the outer skin, insulation and just overall build quality lays heavily in favour of the Columbia.

These jackets were all priced between £120/140 and so I'd advise shopping around and getting the best value for money.

This jacket is perfect. I am 6' 2" and medium build, and it is really comfortable to wear. I especially like the fact that the sleeves and body are well long enough, and that the various adjustments allow the jacket to be pulled in snugly, and that the pockets are nicely placed and sized. Apart from being so comfortable, the jacket is surprisingly light and deceptively effective. So far this winter it has kept me warm and dry in all conditions. Some reviews have criticised the way the zip works, but once you have the technique it works fine. And the jacket looks great. I am 52 years old, and quite simply this is by far the best winter jacket I have owned.

Brilliant jacket, been out in it in freezing conditions with just a shirt underneath and was still cosy. Managed to pick one up for just £110 elsewhere online.

I love my bear Grylls coat there is no getting cold in this coat!!!
Ten million pockets and built with clever little additions to stop wind from getting in and half the price from most high street shops.

Found my BG jacket to be consistantly comfortably warm, well made and reliably waterproof too, great for trekking and mountaineering, (Looks cool too). only con really is that it is a little heavy and a little stiff/inflexible for upper body movements, so purchased a lighter synthetic jacket als well (which is packable) for me to use as a belay/ climbing jacket. All in all v happy
