Beautiful photos and detailed drawings of how to make various items have made the book comfortable to use. I found it full of interesting modern patterns which can be easily exchanged for other colour combinations. There is sufficient information which does not boggle the mind or complicate things and I found it inspiring and good to follow - I feel that it was an excellent buy.

Out of the dozens of beading and jewellery books on my shelf this is by far the best one I own. Their second book 'Bead fantasies II' is a close runner up!
I don't know where she gets her ideas for the jewellery but they are stunning, and not difficult.
It was the first beading book I bought and I recommend it to anyone starting out in beading. I've even had the girls at the local bead shop ask me about the book after seeing one of the necklaces.

This is my absolute number one favourite bead book ever. The pieces here are so beautiful they take your breath away. At first glance, you expect such intricate, delicate things to be really difficult, but they're not: I was using this book pretty much from being a beginner.
Most of the pieces here are jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings, cell phone straps, glasses cords), but the designs are flexible and more experienced beaders will find inspiration to adapt them on every page. The instructions are very thorough, and the section at the end on findings and finishing was very useful.
I just can't wait for book 2 to come out!

This is my book! I love every project, and the colours... are so fine and lovely! It has nice photos, it's easy to follow the projects, it's heaven on beadwork! I'm anxious to buy the Bead Fantasies II because this one is really good! Buy it and you won't regret it!!!

I've bought several beadweaving books lately and looked to this one for some different designs. The 'Look Inside' preview showed many beautiful designs and I looked forward to making several of them. Unfortunately the designs are let down by the extremely poor quality of the instructions and diagrams. Most of the diagrams look as though they have been scribbled out by hand on the back of an envelope, and are far too small to be of any real help. The accompanying instructions are sparse to the point of terseness.

Having said that, the designs are lovely and I would suggest the book to anyone who already has a good working knowledge of crossbead weaving and RAW. It's not for beginners, however. I notice that there are three other books in the series and it had been my intention to acquire them all; but if they are as sloppily produced as this one, I'm not sure that I will.

I love working with crystals and this book is full of wonderful projects. However, personally I found some of the designs a little too basic and I would have preferred the diagrams to be larger and clearer. That said, there is great scope for adapting the basic designs into something more challenging.

If you are new to beading this book is great; it would also be a good stepping stone if you've done a some bead stringing and want to mix that with some bead weaving.

This book has many projects that are beautiful, though almost all use Swarovski crystals which are captivating in themselves.
Too bad the instructions are just horrible and almost impossible to follow.
would return this book if i were a local..

I recently got this book as a gift & have already completed a few of the projects. I feel that it isn't a book for a beginner and while it is terrific visually, if you like actually reading instructions, then it is not the book for you. The designs can be difficult to fathom, and the tiny writing doesn't really help. In fact, I looked at the picture and then went away and figured it out for myself - it was just easier! Although the designs are very delicate and pretty, the instructions were a quite skimpy and needed more work. Luckily this was a gift so I don't feel I have wasted my money, but as an experienced beader, I wouldn't recommend it and I don't know if I'd buy books 2&3.
