It is well made and provides good security against knocks and bumps when out and about.
Lovely feel and fits like a glove.
What more could a Mac want.
- Nice design, black and white may not be the most adventurous colour but it does the job.
- Fits the 13.3" MacBook (white, unibody) perfectly as described.
- The foamy padding is reasonably dense and offers some protection against bumps and knocks.
- You'd be unlikely to carry your MacBook out and about in just this case, so it really acts more as another layer of protection for an existing bag which fits your laptop (though it does this job well).
- If you're looking for a dedicated laptop bag this isn't going to do the job as it has no straps or handles.
One downside was the fit, in respect of my MacBook Pro (the sleeve is wider and deeper by about 20mm), which means that there is scope for some internal movement of the computer while in transit. It's not much and I tend to carry my laptop within the sleeve, inside a courier style bag, so for me this isn't a major problem. If you do want to use the sleeve alone however, this might not be ideal.
In terms of the build quality, when I received the product I was very impressed. The construction, stitching and zips are of good quality. The contrasting interior colour is a very nice touch and overall it's an attractive case. The memory foam was a primary reason for my purchase of this specific sleeve and initially this seemed to work well.
I have now had the case for just over a year (I brought it in Dec 2011 and I'm writing this, revised, review in Feb 2013) and there are some very substantial downsides to this protective material that I think I should highlight and flag up.
When I remove my sleeve from my bag to use the computer (something that I do on a daily basis) I normally grab the sleeve along it's top edge. Some six months after I brought this I noticed that the memory form was showing signs of significant degradation in this area. Now, some 14 months after paying the best part of £19 for it, the foam has degraded to the point where it offers no protection whatsoever to this specific area of the sleeve - essentially the foam has dissipated or crumbled leaving just the nylon outer in it's wake.
This is not something that I've ever experienced with (previously brought and used) neoprene sleeves and I think unfortunately is a major downside to this particular protective filler.Read more ›
Sadly, the range of purchase options available for credible shock protection is not as broad as I'd have expected, and I can't find any really convincing reviews by people with real packaging engineering expertise. Surely a market opportunity for someone here.

Has kept my Mac safe and sound for several years now. The foam has a nice springy feel to it. Has yet to warp permanently in any way. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Dutch234
Laptop case gives great protection to the laptop. Had it for a few years and the foam inside still gives protection and shows little sign of wear. Does the job perfectly.Published 21 months ago by James Hayden and Amy-Rose Warman
Good quality, good price, previous one lasted 5 years before I purchased this to replace it.Published 23 months ago by Nicky Young
