As 40 something year old woman, growing up in the 80s I never could quite understand the cult icon status that Bruce Lee had. I was never into martial arts or martial arts movies so didn’t really appreciate how incredibly talented and disciplined he was. Later in life I embarked on a path of self discovery and whilst training to become a mindfulness coach I came across a Bruce Lee quote. I can honestly say I had never heard any of Bruce Lee’s quotes before but it hit me so hard. I have researched a lot of his teachings since then (it has only been a matter of weeks since I first read the quote) and came across this book. I believe that the universe only shows us the message when we are ready to receive it so Shannon Lee’s book felt like a gift. Written beautifully, her father’s philosophy in layperson’s language makes an easy read but with a truly enlightening message. Whether you are a fan of Bruce Lee or not, whether on a journey of healing or self improvement I highly recommend this book. A truly wonderful gift to give anyone (or everyone) you care about.

Such an amazing book. I've read a few books on Bruce Lee and this was great. Highly recommended for any BL fan. Shannon has done an amazing job exploring her father's ideas within her own life using martial arts practice for life practices. Recovering from a double fracture to my spine after a cycling accident and falling down into some dark depths...this book was truly inspirational. Read it super quick and has really changed my out look. So glad I bought this. Enjoy.
