I decided to purchase the book to support a local author and friend. Be Careful What You Wish For is not what I'd usually read (King, Rankin or non fiction), but I thought I'd try something different to keep me occupied whilst away on a business trip. I was not disappointed.

The author demonstrates great character development throughout the book with each individual receiving equal attention to detail. I could visualise them all as the story progressed. The story line is varied but knitted together cleverly ensuring the reader doesn't get lost. The story hops between characters consistently and logically.

Looking forward to reading the author's future creations.

I read Be Careful What You Wish For on the beach last summer and loved it – it’s perfect summer reading escapism! I enjoyed the alternating view points and my sympathies flipped regularly from Fee and the wives to Paul and the husband’s, with each turn of the plot. Surprisingly hard hitting at times, I found the mystery part of the book kept me turning pages right up to the very end (which I loved). This is a well written, well plotted, debut novel and I would thoroughly recommend it.

For clarity I know the author. An intriguing book, well & interestingly written and full of twists of turns to keep you guessing. Good characterisation and plot and I found it difficult to put down as I was pulled into to the story and the lives of the main characters who I became quite attached to. Very enjoyable. Well done Sue. Looking forward to the sequel

I read this book on the recommendation of a friend, and I was not disappointed! I became "hooked" on the plot twists and definitely enjoyed the character development of the protagonists, Fee and Paul. It kept my attention, compelling me to read for long stretches of time at the expense of other duties and obligations, which I willingly compromised! It was one of those books, where when you know you are approaching the end, you start slowing down with your reading, being loath to leave these characters and their lives. I can't wait for the sequel.

Knowing the author of Be Careful What you Wish For I had great fun looking for elements of the characters in people we both know ,the obvious one being Paul the husband of Fee.
I read the book quickly and found it fast moving and addictive ,although I thought some of the day to day arrangements between the women unlikely to happen in real life.
I thought the end of the book was slightly abrupt as I wanted to know more, and because of that I look forward to the sequel.
