A potentially good story spoilt by bad spelling, poor punctuation and bad grammer. The Author has just lazily run the manuscript through a spell checker instead of doing the grunt work of a proper proof reading. In turn the spell checker has turned spelling errors into similar sounding words which are completely wrong and detract from the reader's concentration.

In addition the puerile and childish sex scenerios which are plainly from the author's dreams (is he lonely at night?), are tacky to say the least.

Don't bother paying money for any more of this author's books, if he is not prepared to do the work of finalising the book properly (proof reading) then he can't expect us to give him money. I suggest he review, re-write in places, correct all the spelling errors and then issue a second edition and, if it done properly, it might be worth reading!

Recently purchased as an 're-edited and updated' edition. (May 2015). Unfortunately the editing didn't go far enough. I don't usually comment on mis-placed apostrophes and obvious word mistakes, e.g. week for weak, but I wish the editing had caught 'birthing' for 'berthing' also 'waste' and 'waist' transposed. In the interests of a good story, I can forgive a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes. And this story is good, showing considerable imagination in the unfolding tale, which includes character development of the hero. The inital scene of a video game is long, I would contend, far too long. However, since the game in question is an integral and important component in the story, I can see why the author spent so much time on it. Beyond the opening game scene, the story begins to unfold. While the ending is not a full conclusion because there is a continuation in 'Battleship Destroyer 2', neither is the ending of this book a cliffhanger. Rather this book's ending leaves our hero and his followers in comparative safety and in a 'natural' interlude of the narrative.

Interesting story, exciting action but DEAR GOD... Did no one read this before it was published?!

Poor spelling, wrong use of synonyms, missing punctuation, sentences with broken structure, inconsistent use of he/she and ranks.

Possibly the most frustrating book I've ever read.

The author is either a pre-pubescent teenager with literacy issues, or the process of editing the book was never started let alone finished.

Such a shame as it's actually a fun little space opera.

I feel sorry for the author. He has a really good story. I'm not going to spoil it by saying anything about it. However, whoever was paid to proof read it should give the money back. It is like reading the most basic of drafts, the author brainstorming his characters and ideas. If the formatting, strike throughs, and same font we're sorted out then it would be worth buying. I'm putting my reading of this book on hold until a corrected version is released. It has a great potential and I don't want to put myself off reading what I'm sure turn out to be an excellent read.

A reasonable story spoiled hugely by smutty rubbish and the worst spelling I have ever encountered. I will be asking Amazon to refund my money.

As the title for my review suggests the book is a great read but it is let down slightly by the bad grammar and name change, where the main characters name changes to mark twice. Despite the mentioned issues I was able to follow the plot and quite happily sit there and read it, I just wish the story continued!

A halfway decent book ruined by typos and literals, bad spelling and missing punctuation. I did wonder whether the original script was created using voice input and the author was just too lazy to bother checking anything beyond the spelling of his own name. Story gets 3.5 stars, but because of the awful copy, I'll give it 1 star.
