I have read every book in the series up to this point, I feel part of the fight for earth. I rage at the Aliens who infest our world, I fight with Taylor, every battle, every friend I lose,my emotions tumble from page to page. It is one of the most Intense series of books I have ever read. I recommend you read the books in order and become part of the blood and guts world of Colonel Mitch Taylor. Fab

If you read and enjoyed the first and second trilogy then you will find this just as entertaining. In this one the Humans are kicked off Earth and find themselves on a very hostile planet where nobody goes, because when they do, they never return. What is the secret of this barren world?. As the plot progresses the human refugees make contact with potential allies but are they all they seem or do they have their own agenda?

Once again my criticisms of the first trilogy still stand: overuse of "got", "gotten" and other examples of lazy writing using cliches and slang. Will "man up" (among others) still be in use in two years time, never mind two hundred? He also uses the word "span" in a very bizarre way where it actually makes no sense: "A deep wound span from his face and down his cheek, stopping at the shoulder plate of his armour." Proof reading is better but, fortunately, it still does not get in the way of a good story.

More of the same, some good characters continue to be developed, and recommended if you like the first trilogy.

Having read the first two trilogies, this is more of the good same fun read. Does read like a script for a computer game at times, with levels to complete, but still, works well. Recommended for those who kept with the first two sets.
