Episodes 14-17 of the animated series featuring the caped crusader. Batman is still faced with the task of saving the day and upholding justice, but this time round he has some assistance in the form of other DC Comics favourites Green Arrow, Aquaman, Bronze Tiger and The Atom. Episodes are: 'Mystery in Space!', 'Trials of the Demon!', 'Night of the Huntress!' and 'Menace of the Conqueror Caveman!'.
Batman isn't going at it alone this time! From Warner Bros. Animation comes the latest interpretation of the classic Batman franchise. Our caped crusader is teamed up with heroes from across the DC Universe, delivering nonstop action and adventure with a touch of comic relief. Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and countless others will get a chance to uphold justice alongside Batman. Though still based in Gotham, Batman will frequently find himself outside city limits, facing situations that are both unfamiliar and exhilarating. With formidable foes around every corner, Batman will still rely on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to bring justice home.

This is the latest dvd to collect episodes of the recent cartoon series that adopts the style of the original Brave and the Bold comics and has Batman and other superheroes fighting crime together.
Each episode runs for twenty two minutes. And each has a short pre credits sequence which never runs more than a couple of minutes telling a shorter story that generally doesn't tie into the main one for the episode.
It does adopt the style of sixties comics in that it has Batman travelling through space and time and meeting characters such as Sherlock Holmes. This kind of story would have been common back then but not so today as the character has gotten grimmer and grittier. But these episodes get the style just right, as they've never silly and this take on Batman does manage the occasional fun quip.
The four episodes on this disc are:
Mystery in Space: With Batman and Aquaman - the latter suffering a crisis of self doubt - teaming up to help Adam Strange fight off alien invaders on the planet of Rann.
Trials of the Demon: with Batman summoned through time via magic to help Jason Blood/Etrigan and Sherlock Holmes track down a villain who is draining people's life energies. And Batman gets a big surprise when he finds the identity of the fiend.
Night of the Huntress: sees Batman and Blue Beetle and Huntress work together to tackle gangster Baby Face. Always assuming Blue Beetle can get over his crush on Huntress and get his head in the game. Which results in some funny moments.
And: Menace of the Conqueror Caveman!; Which sees hero from the future Booster Gold, a man desperate for publicity, team up with Batman to fight Kru'll the immortal conqueror caveman. Booster's desperate self promotion allows for some funny moments here.
The fun of the latter two episodes makes them slightly stronger than the first two, and some may wish to be aware that the first one does contain some brief flashing images.
But all in all another fun collection of an entertaining show for Bat fans of all ages.
The dvd has the following language and subtitle options:
Languages: English, Castillan spanish, Czech, French, German, Italian, Polish.

Seriously the Batman the animated series is still stuck at 2 seasons even though 4 was released over in the US, if you have kids you should be looking at this as a potential buy unless they have other interests (ie: Ben 10, etc...) this is well worth the cost and well worth collecting (it is volume 4 after all...).
Given they still haven't released the Justice League Unlimited, Justice League New frontier and so on over here you really ought to give this a look before you find its no longer available at this price!
Take care and all the best!
A great episode that feels much longer than its twenty or so minutes, so packed is it with great dialogue, incident and characterisation, not to mention that meeting between two of fiction's most famous detectives!
