Top Customer Reviews

Where to start with this book, I bought the previous volume of this series and rather enjoyed it, but I picked up this one and it just doesn't live up to the previous volume. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good stories in it, but some are just pretty terrible and make a mockery of the Batman saga.
The art work is amazing in some stories and terrible in others, to the point where you can't work out what's going on in the picture, at least the last volume had artwork by Alex Ross, but these don't compare to his work.
Some of the stories are really well put together and make you think, and other's not so much. The last story I thought would be pretty amazing because it added a splash of colour like the Sin City stories but it just turned out to be pretty unfinished and drab.
So overall, if you're a Batman fan than, I would get this just for the collection, but if you're new to comics/ graphic novels etc. go for something else, or even go for the previous volumes.
