This series known here as Batman Beyond [AKA Batman of the Future], is region coded for regions 1, 2, 3 & 4 if bought in it's original volume sets, 3 seasons in total.
In addition, the uncut PG-13 version of Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker should pose no problems. I own the original 2002 snapper-case DVD but later re-issues and repackages (with other films/discs) have been reported by others as identical in content and coding. The Blu-ray is reported as region free (A, B & C).
UK buyers MUST avoid the UNRATED Return of The Joker DVD from 2000 as this is the TV edit the rest of the world got on TV, VHS & DVD. The USA import for that version (rated 12 here in Britain) will only play on Multi-Region or Region 1 players. This particular disc is region locked whereas all others mentioned here can be considered Region 2 compatible NTSC DVDs.
The Justice league: Unlimited episode entitled "Epilogue" which concludes the Batman Beyond story arc (broadcast as season 2, episode 13 but on DVD it becomes season 1, episode 26) is well worth adding to your DC Comics Animated collection.
I own the original releases not the subsequent reissues or complete series boxed sets.
Justice League: Unlimited also shares the same DVD region coding as Batman Beyond.
The Batman of the Future/Batman Beyond series continues the high standard of animation to come out of Bruce Timm and DC/WB collaboration. From catching up with old and embittered Bruce Wayne o his relationship with his new ward its a brilliant continuation to series 1. Series 2 lets the new batman really find his feet in this new Gotham City and continue to build up his own rogues gallery. Its a worthwhile purchase and if you are already a fan of Batman the animated series then this is a perfect addition.
Finally gave up waiting for region 2 boxset, went for region 1 via Rarewaves & was not disappointed in the slightest, well packaged, well delivered & the stories, well Ok I'd seen some on British TV but that wasn't a problem, I could watch these again & again. This series was for me a more "stand alone" series of episodes with some recurring villains but no major bad guy/story arc like Blight but still well worth it. Have to see about season 3 next.
