I have bolded in my review title that this book is in French because I rushed to buy it given the subject matter without noticing this, which understandably meant I had a different reading experience than I had counted on.

Interestingly it made me pay attention to how much dialogue there was and whether it was possible to follow the storyline or not without reading or understanding it all, the artwork is brilliant, the inside cover front and back have the side on face artwork from the cover (Batman on the front and The Alien on the back) and the artwork throughout the book is of a similar great standard.

The story takes place in jungle and a myan temple, in this respect I thought it resembled much more a Darkhorse comic, specifically the Predator comics, than a Batman comic. The aliens in this script are not the lightening fast, incredibly strong invincible killing machines of other Aliens comics, or at least I did not think, since Batman at one point physically grabs one of their extendable snapping tongues when it shoots out to try and slay him. The horror aspect of the Aliens is done well and it gives even Batman nightmares!!
