I read a LOT of reviews on this cocktail maker and watched some video reviews, All were very positive so I thought I’d buy one as I and my partner both love cocktails. The first one I made on Regular was Cosmopolitan as my partner loves them. On first taste we both agreed it was like drinking Aviation Fuel. Far too strong, we then tried several more on Regular and Every One was the same. The combined alcohol content greatly outweighed the taste of the cocktail. Even making them on Lite (us spelling) the cocktails just don’t taste anything like the ones you can buy in any cocktail bar/restaurant. As I investigated the ingredients of each cocktail the Pods are missing a Lot of Add ONS, some cocktails require Coke, amaretto, soda water , vermouth, peach schnapps even sugar and the list goes on. So, if you’re thinking of buying one of these machines be prepared to buy a cocktail recipe book and a load of Add ONS to make the cocktail taste as it should. There’s also NO indication in the advertising or book supplied with the machine that you need to buy any Extras except the alcohol to be loaded into the bottles. I also spent £50 on the stand with the drawer to hold the capsules straight from Bartesian even though every pod has a use by date and states Keep Refrigerated. Why have a storage drawer if the pods have to be kept cold? Will ambient temperature cause them to go Off quicker?

    I would not recommend this machine. I purchased it a year and a half ago and hen suddenly all power to the machine has stopped. It is totally dead. I tried changing the power cord....nothing. I decided to take the cover underneath, all the electronics are soaking wet and corroded. There is only a years warranty with the product. So all it is good for is the bin.

    It is a very expensive piece of rubbish now destined for landfill. I do not expect to pay £300 for a prodcut that fails so soon. Looking online this is a common issue (wish i had seen that before i purchased)n and bartesian do not seem to care and just expect you to buy an new one. It is a sickening lesson to learn!

    Not only this but the capsule options are shocking over here. In the states there are dozens! Over here not even a dozen!

    Looks like i will now be purchasing the Black and Decker Bev which is just as expensive but I will not spend another penny on the bartesian machine as it will undoubtedly fail again
