About the Author

Burneeka Yvonne is a person who has an infinite imagination who first discovered metacognition at a remarkably young age. She did not understand it at first until she knew how powerful it was. As she wrote this novel, it being her first, she felt like she saw this story before because she imagined it already. Burneeka is a 29 year old, fun and loving person, who finally came to the realization that her true passion in life is to become a writer. She loves to tell stories, and she loves to create things in her head. Her analytical and fast thinking skills were proven when she wrote this book in such a short time. It took Burneeka 26 years to find out what her true passion was. She one day wrote a creative topic English paper for her English2 Professor, which she purposely rushed, and while she received a low “C” grade for it, it was the statement that he left at the bottom of the paper that opened her eyes. He wrote: “While this paper is good, it is not great. You are a better writer than this.” Since that day, Burneeka wrote at any given chance that she had; mostly at work. Burneeka once was a person who solved her problems with fighting, but she never got into another fight ever again, because she learned a new way to solve them. She started to write people “off” in a series of poems, no pun intended. Burneeka also used her new knowledge of Psychology after she declared it as a major at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. She knew that the best way to tell a story would be from her past experiences that would help her get over them. It also made her a better person because she finally understood herself. The motivational books that so many people told her about, and bought for her, helped her embark on a new journey, and also helped her to help other people along the way. Burneeka now lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her twin sister. Burneeka always had dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and an entertainer, and hopes that this novel will take her a step closer into achieving those dreams. She continues to say to this day that she did not write a novel, but she wrote a visual project. What she means by this is that she hopes that one day “Barely Identical” will become a motion picture. Stay tuned, because while this novel is obviously a part one story, she has more novels to share with you because she is an unbelievable story teller. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
