From the Inside Flap
Our journey began in fire...
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightening in the darkness - beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he oposed those cracks in me so easily...
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And he would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds...and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. See all Product description

I loved Gideon's fierceness and alpha male serious protectiveness over his woman tendencies and loved to imagine it was me that he had that raw animalistic attraction too, but for some reason I didn't fall in love with him. I loved that both characters were flawed and drawn to each other because of that and the sex scenes were very hot, more enjoyable than Fsog, but while I read the book in one night (like every book I buy - Tolstoy excepting!!) I didn't find it as addictive as Fsog - I have read the Crossfire books twice and then moved on, I found it harder to shake off Christian for some reason. If you like conflict, fiery feisty females and serious sexual tension / chemistry this is a fab book.
Both characters very well described, so much so I have no problem picturing what they look like.
The only downside for me is the way Gideon is written, I miss how he was at the beginning of the book. I fully understand characters need development but going from a steely, forthright business man to a fully fledged lap dog was a little disappointing my opinion.
You definatley go into Gideon and Eva's world (The two main characters)and suddenly forget the house work you should have done . Would strongly recommend this book .
