How to Play
Place all 80 single letter tiles face down in the centre of the table. These form the BUNCH.
Each player takes five single letter tiles from the BUNCH.
To win, be the first player to use all your letters in a connected grid without a spelling mistake, proper noun or abbreviation. Words must read left to right horizontally or top to bottom vertically.
To start the game any player calls out SPLIT. At the same time, everyone turns their tiles face up and races to arrange them in their own word grid.
At any time during the game you can say SWAP – put one tile back face down into the BUNCH and take a new one.
You can rearrange your grid at any time and as many times as you like and there are no limits to the number of times you can SWAP tiles.
Features and Benefits
Letters Have Personalities
Some letters are reversed by children. Colours and differently shaped letters give each tile a distinct identity so they’re easier to tell apart i.e. b, d; p, q; m and w.
To make it easier identifying vowel letters, i.e. a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y are in yellow.
Special Tile Features
The baseline of each tile has an elevated bottom indicating the letter orientation making it easy to understand for younger players.
Small Portable Pouch
The game comes in a small portable banana-shaped pouch, perfect for playing on the go and easy to tidy up once the game is over.

Somehow Scrabble just seems too restrictive. This is a game for stretching your mind, encouraging creativity and I'm not actually at all bothered about winning or losing - just about the elegance of the challenge.
Wonderful product, great quality, nice little 'nana bag'.
The only downside is you do need quite a bit of space to lay out the tiles so you won't be playing it on a plane or train.
When I played with friends the tiles were more solid and had a nicer feel like Scrabble tiles. My tiles are hollow and after several games the lettering is already wearing off. The letters are quite hard to make out and many are not centered on the tile. The banana shaped pouch is too small and badly made.
Make sure you buy the AUTHENTIC game, which I can assure you is not this one.
The game is excellent for any numbers of people and the rules can be varied to suit the ages of the players, ie; two letter words for youngsters. We enjoyed our friends one so much we bought our own, unfortunately not the same quality.
I gave three stars because of the premise of the game, the quality of my game pack doesn't even deserve one star.
The game itself is great...the quality of the one delivered to me was awful.
The print on the packaging actually said "Banangrams" (not a typo, perhaps this is more about Banans than Bananas...
The pieces are poorly printed and of much poorer quality than the one we played with friends.
Yes you can still play the game, but perhaps some details on this about how it's clearly not the original game.
All in all i'd say buy the game...but buy it from somewhere else!
The game itself is fantastic ideal for I'd say 6 yrs onwards, great in a group! Will be taking on holiday for years to come !
