I work a lot on bicycles and sometimes clearance for tools is an issue, hence going for the slim jaw model. When the wrench arrived, I was hoping it was going to blow me away. Firstly the packaging for a tool of this cost was really poor, but my main issue is with the jaws. There is so much play its a wonder the Royal Theatre Group haven't taken up residence. I expected precision but got wobble in 3 directions. Once you set the correct distance you can move the jaw as if it were a loose tooth which makes it about as much use as one. Lastly its not possible to adjust with one hand, the adjusting screw gets caught every few rotations as if there is grit caught in the gear (there isnt, I checked)
To summarise, I'm shocked a tool of this price can come with such bad quality. I could by several cheaper tools with the same defects and treat them as disposable rather than live with this one. My first Bahco, and likely my last.
good wide jaw. rubber covered handle provides extra grip and comfort. jaw adjustment feels solid and jaws don't loosen on the nut.
more expensive than some of the (much) cheaper alternatives, but you get what you pay for. i've had cheaper adjustable spanners in the past and managed to deform the jaws and/or round nuts when the jaws 'relax' a bit on the nut.
this one feels like i'll never have that problem.
The jaws are offset to one side which makes the whole process of using it in confined gaps so much easier.
The gap between the jaws is accurately guaged by a nicely engraved scale that allows you to be sure that you havn't accidentally changed the setting.
The wide jaw also means that you can tackle bigger nuts without needing to use a less manageable tool with a longer handle.
Its one of those tools that you wish you had owned years ago and saved yourself grazed knuckles and high blood pressure with a full width spanner that didn't quite fit in the space available. Well its never too late - highly recommended.
Overall usual Bahco high quality, had mine few months, should last years.

The thin jaws come in very handy. Bahco shifters are very strong and last a very long time.Published 4 months ago by George A. Webster
Good spanner but the jaws have a lot of play in them after about a month of light use. Someone at work stole my one and I had to buy another. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Robert
Bought thinking I was getting quality. Used on a 15mm nut and jaws just dented. soft tempering of the steel is the obvious cause. Read morePublished 9 months ago by Amazon Customer
