Reasonable Euro western
Verified purchase
A standard Euro western from relatively late in the genre's lifetime. Nothing special and Lee Van Cleef is not at his best, but it's certainly watchable and fans of the genre will find plenty to enjoy.

My Partner and myself watched it only this afternoon and thought it was a very good film but not one of Lee Van Cleefs best.

Reasonable western
This is one of the 1970s Eurowesterns, when the genre was beginning to become somewhat jaded. It is an entertaining film though, set in the Mexican revolution. The sung music is awful and the rest OK; not exactly Ennio Morricone. Lee Van Cleef is perhaps not at his best, but still turns in a fair performance as Roy KIng. James Mason is fine as Montero, a departure from his usual film roles. Gina Lollobrigida is wonderful as the rather manipulative femme fatale. As usual in these films, there's a plan afoot to rob the Mexican government of cash, but not all goes to plan... Worth a watch for fans of the genre, but not a classic.
