I RECEIVED THIS BOOK FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW AS A REVIEWER FOR BLOGGIN’ WITH M. BRENNAN.

3.5 stars

I feel that I should start by saying that for me, this book has been quite tricky to review. I should probably now try to explain why that was. I'll be honest, I wanted to read this book cause the blurb made it seem as though it was going to an easy read and I think sometimes you just need that. A book that's a wee bit predictable but isn't likely to pull your heart out and make you look at it. What I didn't expect though, was a complete disconnect from the entire thing. The book got zero reaction from me other than a mild annoyance at the characters. I'm the type of person that can cry at the drop of a hat so this was surprising cause there were some emotive topics covered, some of which hit very close to home.

Sophie is the 'good girl' and I'm going to use that term loosely cause her conduct was often more so that of a complete spoiled brat. She honestly swung between brat and doormat and there wasn't much in between. I get that not all book characters can be the strong take no nonsense type but her behaviour really did bug me. She treated those around her quite horribly at times, and blew up about the totally wrong things. There were moments however when she seemed to redeem herself but honestly there wasn't near enough good to outweigh the bad of her horrible attitude. Although with a big brother like she had its honestly no wonder she didn't turn out even worse.

Brad is the brothers 'best friend' which says quite a bit straight away since the brother was honestly just a horrible person with zero redeeming qualities. Brad himself did make more than bad impression as the title suggests.

You do not date your best mate’s little sister – it usually only ends in tears and possibly a broken nose!
But Sophie Clinton can’t forget the one night she had with her bothers BFF, and even though it was a few years ago, now she is back in town she can’t help but reminisce and reliving that night is pretty high on her list of things she wouldn’t mind doing all over again.
Brad doesn’t do relationships, but with Sophie he always felt like there could have been more, if it hadn’t been for the fact she was Ollie’s sister. All the time she had been away he has never forgotten her but he hasn’t exactly let the grass grow under his feet either.
Sophie’s life away from the town hasn’t ended well, the guy she was in a relationship with ended up being a bully and very abusive and now that she is free of him, she just wants to make sure that she leaves him exactly where he should be, in her past but that means keeping the details about what happened to herself.
Landing herself a job in the local bookstore, Sophie is finally finding her feet, she knows that Brad’s mum owns the store and that she has always had a hankering that they would get together but what is done is done and a Sophie needs to work.
I liked the fact that Brad was as keen as Sophie to pick up where their one light left off, that he was mindful of Ollie but his restraint was tested and it wasn’t easy on anyone.
When he finally got the message that Sophie was thinking along the same wavelength as he was, there was no stopping them and once they got into a full on relationship the sparks flew.
Sophie was honest enough to let Brad in on what was going on with her ex but she made a mistake in not telling her brother because when he showed up in town it was Ollie that unwittingly put Sophie in danger.

Bad impressions by Franca Storm

I received a gifted copy from the author for an honest review.

This is a story about Sophie and her older brothers best friend Brad.

Brad is your typical womanising man, at the beginning he seemed like such a jerk I wasn't sure what to make of him, but he grew on me once we started to get into the story.

I liked Sophie right up until the last 15% or so, after that she kind of annoyed me and it put me off her a lot!

This was quite a quick read with a little drama but overall it was good. There were a few things I would have liked to have known that happened in the past, I feel like there was a bit too much left out for my liking.

4* read.
I love this authors writing style so I was looking forward to getting stuck into this book. This is Brad and Sophie's story. Brad is Sophie's older brother best friend who doesn't do relationships and is a bit of a manwhore and jerk. Years earlier he got together with Sophie took her virginity and broke her heart and now Sophie's back in town escaping her ex which means they have to face each other again. Will her and Brad sort it out or will their past mean they cant be together now. You'll need to read it to find out.
Great book to add to this authors collection and I look forward to more from this author.

A Revive Me Novel. 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
Let me start by saying, well done! I enjoyed this book very much. The title is very much something to take note of, Brad makes a terrible first, second, third- well Brad makes a bad impression. He is not willing to commit at first. Quite frustrating! Brad is best friend's with Soph's brother, Brad is a bad bad boy/man. This Brad, he is a work in progress...and sweet Soph is willing to put in the work. Wow, do these two work in the sexual chemistry department!! The dirty dripping wet hot sexy dept, they didn't really get their act together as a couple until about 30%of the way through. Here's an inside tip, Brad did not know he was the guy that took Soph's virginity, ole Brad had a little too much too drink that night. Once He realizes, or should I say Soph tells him? All bets are off, Brad is a full on caveman from this moment on. Brad is looking to rectify his mistakes and erect a monument in Soph's honor(too much?) honestly, he's impressive. There is a great deal of humor and steam in this story. The descriptions of him and them together are beyond my capabilities to fully explain, you will have to read the book. Hot, hot and hotter. Stick with it, Brad gets his act together. Brad becomes a romance superhero. Very interesting side story between Sophie's brother Ollie and her best friend Tiff. Something on the horizon with those two, if Ms Storm can help them get their act together as well. Very much recommend and would say this is a solid 4 star read. I did struggle with the sexual partners both characters had after being together initially, which is why I would not say this is a five stars for me, but it may be for you. Thank you.

Brad is the brothers 'best friend' which says quite a bit straight away since the brother was honestly just a horrible person with zero redeeming qualities. Brad himself did make more than bad impression as the title suggests. Rather than being an alpha he just came across as egotistical without much to back it up. Although he certainly didn't seem choosy about where he dipped his wick and managed to mess things up for himself more than once.

The supporting characters bugged me too, there was honestly not one who wasn't just out for themselves except maybe Brads mum but she was nothing more than a bit part. I will say though, at times it seemed as though the author was trying to make them flawed but just made them too much so. I dislike characters who smoke, that is a personal preference of mine and something I do tend to notice probably more than others. The same with cheating, even the slightest mention of cheating is enough to put me off, and this book does mention it, more than once. (I don't usually say anything that may be a spoiler but know its a hot button topic for more than just me, so will say there is no cheating between the main characters, it really is just something mentioned to have happened in the past but does have a knock on effect for events in the book)

The story itself was fairly well done, although there maybe didn't have to be quite so many sub-plots, the ones that were there didn't take away from the main story, although going from one person with obvious anger issues to another is probably not the wisest decision ever.

This is the first time I've read anything by this author but it certainly wouldn't stop me from trying something else she'd written as it could well be that I just didn't get this cast. I would say though that if you are looking for something fairly easy to read, not too taxing then give it a shot, this review is merely my opinion of the book and is certainly not intended to put anyone off reading it but overall the book was really just okay.
HASH(0xa8f1766c) out of 5 stars or is it better to leave the past buried in the past 7 Oct. 2015
By Kathleen Rivest - Published on Amazon.com

Is it possible to start over from where you left off, or is it better to leave the past buried in the past??

She’s the one girl he never should’ve touched. And the one girl he’s never been able to forget…

Having escaped a bad situation with an obsessive ex, Sophie Clinton is relieved when she returns to the safety of her hometown to lick her wounds. Until she runs into Brad, the man who took her virginity and broke her heart. The last thing she wants is to deal with him and all the drama of their past. But her older brother’s best friend isn’t easy to resist—or to avoid, in their tiny town.

When his best friend’s little sister returns to town, Brad Marsh knows he should keep his distance this time around. A year ago he crossed a major line with her. He’s been unable to shake the guilt of their drunken, misguided night of passion. He’s not about to make that same mistake again. But the fiery, all-consuming pull between them is stronger than ever. It might not be that easy for him to keep his hands off her. (Amazon blurb)

This is the second novel that I've had the chance to read from Franca Storm and quite frankly, I was not disappointed - it was intriguing, breathtaking and suspenseful at just the right moments. Her characters, Brad and Sophie are intense together, made for one another albeit their past history and you'd swear you could feel the steam coming off the screen of your kindle (or your ipad) from their need to be with one another. The dominant and protective side of Brad's sent goosebumps running up my arms considering it was exactly Sophie needed after her disastrous relationship with her ex. Franca Storm's Revive Me Novel (Bad Impressions) proves that she still has that touch and the capacity to bring to life all our desires but that nightmares are just around the corner. It is a highly recommended alpha read!

Sophie was honest enough to let Brad in on what was going on with her ex but she made a mistake in not telling her brother because when he showed up in town it was Ollie that unwittingly put Sophie in danger.
Brad was frantic when he cottoned on to what had happened and despite the fact that he knew that Sophie was able to take care of herself now – he had shown her what to do if she was ever in a vulnerable situation, he still knew that the woman he loved was in danger and that had every testosterone filled cell in his body screaming at him to find her and keep her safe.
I loved the connection between them and the fact that the story was sincere. They had a past and were true to it but they did not dismiss the events that had taken place since then. It was refreshing to see the honesty between them and the fact that Sophie was prepared to open up to Brad and let him share the pain that had brought her back. I understood is anger but it was her fight and they didn’t need to start afresh with the past coming between them.
A great story, one that I fully enjoyed.

Fast paced and all things sexy!!

I love great stories that evolve around a couple who have a past together.. there just something about "second chances" and "fate" that no matter how cheesy it sounds, when mixed with a love-hate attitude between them? And a bad boy alpha male? I mean, how can you not instantly fall for that. I know those type of stories have been over done, but when I find a really good one, it's just a no brainer really.

Sexy. Addictive. Sweet. Funny. Obsessed.

Just too good not to have a dent in your kindle TBR. Honestly, if you're stuck on a reading slump which often happens to me when I look at all the books that need my attention, I always try to look for easy to read but fun, sexy and heartfelt books. THIS one. BAD IMPRESSIONS. It's that type of book. 100%

Brad will have your panties melting in an instant and your drool to practically become a warning hazard.. yup. I just said that because I can't exactly form any proper words for him just yet. But aside from that, he is such a sweet alpha male that makes you dream of having a boyfriend who is both hot and cold. sweet and sour. soft and hard (pun intended lol *covers face*). Just like Brad.

And with Sophie on his side? A girl who has a back story that will break your heart and at the same time, make you sigh in relief at finally accepting her fate.. This is a power couple.

Their story might start ff as yet another bad boy meets the girl who he couldn't forget and that girl, who once again sees a guy who stomped all over her heart. BUT. BUT. Just mark my words and know that this is SO much bloody more than that.

It has soul.

It has fire.

It has attitude.

It has sexiness.

It has heartache.

More than anything? It has a story worth believing that it could be anything other than just mere words with a fictional world..

LOVED IT!

THANK YOU so much France Storm for providing an ARC! I know this review does not do your book justice or come anywhere near in doing that, but I just hope you know how much I loved Brad and Sophie's gorgeously crafted story. Just perfect.
