This is a great recording. Good tempos and is performed on period instruments at 415 pitch. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this.

This one a set work when I studied A Level Music in the early 60s. I have always been in love with Bach and his ability to paint the pictures and evoke emotions surrounding such a powerful story have always amazed and enthralled me.
It is very long, but there is no part which hangs heavily. It is truly a wonderful work

The King's College Choir performs this masterpiece well, and presumably in the chapel - a proper place for Bach's composition.
The recording muffles the performance a little, particularly the voices.

This must be the most brilliant piece of choral music that I have heard. I first heard it on the radio almost by accident.
I decided that I must hear it again
