This is a lovely little book from the Baby Touch range. The book details 4 colours - Yellow/Green/Blue/Red;

Yellow - Details a yellow lion / Soft yellow duck featuring a 'soft duck' with a soft material within the duck
Green - Details a green bear / Bumpy from with a textured bumpy material within frog
Blue - Details a blue elephant / Shimmery fish with a glitter material within fish
Red - Details a red cat / Fluffy bird with a soft fluffy material within the bird

I agree with other reviews regarding the choice of animal in relation to the colour but my little one enjoys the book none the less. With frequent use, your little one will recognise and remember the colours ... much to their delight. A lovely book to spend quality time with your child!

I think this is a great first for your child on the subject of colors.. It contains the 4 essential colors, blue, red, yellow and green, each color has its own 2 pages with 2 different illustrations representing the colour, you also can learn the animal names from it too! added bonus. Do add this book to your collection.

My 9 month old girl really likes the Baby Touch series but I was a little disappointed with this one, 'Colours'. It has odd things like a green bear and blue elephant. I agree with the other reviewer- why not use a crocodile for green as children do love them?! On the plus side though, it does have some nice things for babies to feel- soft fur, bumpy textures etc.
So far, 'Squeaky Book' seems to be her favourite of the series. Also for those who are used to the larger size, note that this one is small which I suppose is good for when you're out and about.

I quite agree with the person leaving a feedback about the odd colours in the book - like green bear, blue elephant. Would not recommend it. My son hardly pays any attention to this book just collecting dust on the sheld among his other books.

I don't know what it is about this book but my 17 month old really likes it. It's really simple with a picture of an animal on each page and each double spread is dedicated to one colour (so a yellow tiger and a yellow duck on the same spread).

There's no story and it quite small so she can flick through it herself which she often does when she finds it. I always leave a pile of books about the place for her to pick up if she wants - most she'll bring to me and say 'read it' but she reads this one by herself. I've borrowed ours from the library. I don't think I'll buy it as we already have lots of books! But in this simple range its one of the ones she likes best and if she was younger I would buy it as I think she would have liked it when she was much younger.

This is one of my son's favourite books, from a very early age too. He shows signs of excited recognition every time I open it. It is true that he has several books from this series (his absolute favourite is Animals), and that the same drawings keep reappearing. At first this struck me as somewhat lazy or mean with the art work, but actually I think my son enjoys finding the same drawings in different books. Great for young babies.

I bought this for my 10 month old when we included stories as part of his bed time routine a few weeks ago and this is clearly his favourite. He loves touching the different textures and then turning the page - overall an excellent way to introduce babies to books.

I've just bought another few of the series as I can see these being popular when he starts to speak due to their simplicity with clear bold words and pictures.
