About the Author

The Chiappa sisters made their TV debut with the series Simply Italian on Channel 4. As Italian home cooks, they value simply family recipes that anyone can do. Now with children of their own, Michela and Emanuela know how important it is to provide fresh and nutritious meals for all the family.

Working from home as full-time mums, the sisters also run, style and manage their YouTube channel, feature regularly on Jamie Oliver's Food Tube and have been regular columnists for Grazia magazine. Voted one of the UK's top parenting voggers, Michela also launched Jamie Oliver's Family Food Tube with her simple weaning recipes. She has also presented a number of TV shows for BBC Wales and BBC Worldwide, most recently Michela's Tuscan Kitchen. Emanuela was a nanny and how heads up the photography, styling and development of Michela's recipes.

This book is not only the most useful baby book you will read but also beautifully laid out with mouth watering images of food for baby and the whole family. If you're looking for ways to save time, eat well without having to read a long winded recipe - this is the book for you! Incredible.

There is lots of information out there on weaning which can be overwhelming. This book breaks it down into three simple steps and makes introducing different food types and flavours easy. The recipes are simple to follow and are quickly done with ingredients that you would have in the fridge or store cupboard. Looking forward to cooking for the whole family from this book when my little girl is older. Highly recommended.

I bought this book because I was fed up of cooking the same things every week for my children. I love the "Four Ways" sections (with frittatas, pesto, leftovers etc), which have helped me plan mealtimes better and reduced waste in this house.

I also liked the tips that add a nutritional punch to child-friendly fare; such as the frozen kale and beetroot blitz.

Although not limited to weaning recipes, those are fab too. I was especially impressed by the quick, no-cook ones, which weaken the urge to grab a pouch in the face of an urgently hungry baby and a lack of inspiration.

I have duly bought two more copies for my sister and sister-in-law; highly recommended.

This is a great book full of tasty and easy to prepare recipes! Both my children are fussy eaters and, so far, have eaten all the dishes without complaint…. Amazing!!

Bought this for my bro and sis-in-law. They love cooking as much as their baby, not more than their baby but I think it's neck and neck. Anyways, I digress, buying this book as a present is some kind of redemption for my embarrassing wedding speech.

Totally recommend. I have 2 children and I'm very conscious about what I feed them. This book is full of yummy, easy, healthy, uncomplicated recipes, with some brilliant tips/tricks.
I've read a lot of baby weaning/ kids cook books and this is my new favorite.

This book is clear, reassuring and beautifully put together. I was looking for a fuss free guide to weaning that would encourage my daughter to enjoy food as much as we do. Whilst I can't comment on the long term success of this as we are only a month or so into weaning, I can say that so far not only has my daughter enjoyed a wide range of foods and tastes but I have really enjoyed making her food that is healthy and adventurous. The preparation of cubes of different foods/flavours is very straight forward and enough can be made at a weekend to last the week. I look forward to continuing this process and using this book as an inspiration and guide. First class.
