We bought this doll for my 6 year old for Christmas and she loves her. She's got a soft middle so is cuddly, makes lovely noises and sucks her dummy in a scarily realistic way complete with chomping movements. Much better than the baby born interactive boy which just seems to wee all over our house...

I was a bit sceptical of this concept at first - a doll that drinks and cries? Nevertheless we went ahead and bought it for my daughter's fourth birthday and I am converted - she absolutely loves it. Two weeks in and she won't be parted from it. Frankly it was worth the cost just to see her pacing the living room with a (briefly) inconsolably crying Baby Annabel over her shoulder, looking exactly as tired and anxious as her mother had with her in the same position a few short years ago. Priceless.

The doll itself seems reasonably robust, and I am relieved that we are still on the first set of batteries. The facial expressions when sucking are particularly lifelike and took a bit of getting used to for adults, but children love them. The doll responds to touch in various places and this prompts real interaction, which is nice to see. I suspect we will have to buy a fair amount of replacement clothes - my only complaint would be that there is already "piling" of the supplied baby outfit and a more robust material would have been better.

And I am very grateful to the manufacturers for allowing water from the eyes only - mercifully this doll does not wet itself.

Bought this doll for my daughter's 3rd birthday, she loves it hasn't put it down yet. It's very realistic baby annabell laughs, cries, sucks on her dummy and bottle. It's a great present for little girls and well worth the money.

We have version 5 for my eldest daughter and got this one for the younger to stop the constant fighting! Its a lovely doll which makes even nicer sounds than version 5 and I was quite a fan of that, my girls are both totally besotted with their baby annabels, a most excellent purchase

very good and sturdy doll. quite big so be sure to meassure any prams or cots that you are buying and are not from this range as they may not fit.

great present for 3 year old, oh yes and have the batteries ready as it doesn't come up with them, for £40 i would think they could put them in!

overall great doll :)

Got this for her 3rd birthday and she loves it. She (my daughter) does tend to spill the water from the drinks bottle everywhere so we aren't using that function, plus she cant quite get the hang of getting the baby to drink (the bottle has to be pushed in really hard and the gently squeezed at the same time to squirt the water in, which is a bit tricky I think for a 3 year old). As reuslt not got to her Anabel cry. She does regularly stick the dummy in her mouth though and loves watching the baby open and close her eyes and make a sucking sound. Baby is carted around everywhere, though she does find her quite heavy so I'm often asked to carry her. We bought her a car-seat/rocking type carry cot but because baby's head is so heavy it just tips backwards so are having to return this to the shop. Bit worried about durability of baby's head as she got dropped on the pavement and the sharp gravel almost ripped the soft plastic. Think expensive and in hindsight she'd of been happier with cheaper one.
