Low cost extra wifi in our home! FAB! We've been using it for 4 months now and it reaches up two floors.

I gave a 5 star review the, we bought this around October/Nov 2016. Strangely since about April 2017 it just doesn't work well at all! A right pain as our wifi printer is connected to it! Really flummoxed as we had been so pleased. We have switched it off and on etc but no change at all.

Extend Broadband /Ethernet and get a Wi-Fi Hot-Spot

Arrived quickly, very simple set up and works very well, providing both a hotspot wi-fi and facility for remote broadband connection (RJ45 cable).
I’ve also got existing BT Extender Flex 500 and the new Extender Flex 600 works perfectly with the old (after ‘linking’ set-up).
I recommend that the BT devices are plugged into wall sockets connected to the same ‘ring main’ circuit, otherwise you might get occasional ‘drop-out’ of data link, (especially if distant from electrical consumer unit).

Items did not work and did not solve problems. I’ve since bought discs for a network approach, rather than plug-in hotspots. Should mention I’ve had the previous generation of BT hotspots for many years, but the security became outdated and could not be upgraded.

Total waste of money - avoid it like the plague

Absolutely useless piece of rubbish. Got it all set up and working.. 30 minutes later it drops and you have to reset everything again.. then it works.. 30 minutes later you have to reset it again.. ad infinitum. A complete and utter waste of money.

Worked really well when I first installed it just over a month ago. Recently, the data switch light went off. To try and solve the problem, I transferred the main extender to a different socket, but that didn't make any difference. I then transferred it back to the original socket and re-booted the internet router and also used a different ethernet cable to connect the extender to the router. That appeared to solve the issue, but a few days later, the data switch has again gone off. Not really sure what the problem is.
