I bought this as a gift at the request of my partner, other than the extremely strange smell of the book itself; she loves it! Having flicked through before giving it to her it does seem to include some interesting and down right frightning imagery and wording

Fast delivery, good quality packaging as always. Book is rather hefty in size though wasnt expecting it but its not huge

1.0 out of 5 stars A Disappointing LHP Mess 5 May 2017
By Deep Woods 9 - Published on Amazon.com

I’ve given Michael W. Ford multiple chances; he’s one of very few folks doing what he’s doing, and I’m interested in what he has to say. This is the second book of his which I've bought, the first being Liber HVHI. Both books seem as though they are transcribed from stream of consciousness talks delivered into a recorder; poorly-organized, rambling, and disjointed word soup of the sort that would result from throwing Aleister Crowley, Peter J. Carroll, Andrew Chumbley, three different mediocre tattoo artists, and a book about Middle Eastern mythology into a blender along with two random pages from a college grammar textbook. Ford’s vocabulary isn’t necessarily bad, but he doesn’t always seem to know how to use the words he knows in an actual sentence.
I keep striving in vain to find a workable system within his books, but each one that I’ve read has been so poorly organized that I always give up. I was especially hopeful that this book would be the one that finally sold me on Ford because both the eminent Jake Stratton-Kent and Peter J. Carroll himself are associated with it, but now I just find myself assuming that they must have been blackmailed into endorsing this inchoate mess.
It’s a shame, because I believe that Left Hand Path sorcery is a legitimately underserved niche; it’s just that Ford isn’t the one this niche needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's kind of like the difference between listening to a symphony vs 9 Oct. 2016
By Zeppo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I've read some negative reviews about this book which were neither substantive or civil about, not the work itself, but the author. I bought the book at the suggestion of a friend across the pond, and consequently, felt compelled to write. I think I can say with some credibility that magick can work with manifestations in the material plane, for all to see and appreciate.

I am 55, have been part of a few groups (GD, OTO, OA,) and work primarily as a solitary. I have been retired since age 48, have done some filmmaking, and currently have a novel in progress, that is being followed by a major publishing house in the US. I have a BS in biochemistry, a BA in psychology, an MBA, and an MA in Buddhist philosophy, that I attained in Thailand. All of my academics were paid for by bursary scholarships. Having my own experiences with academics, I was distracted by the comments about his lack of citations. I thought "Ya citations are important...they're authoritative." But as a Luciferician myself, I thought "Well, if I wanted the validation of some outside authority myself, I guess I could go look them up myself...Na." That kind of distinction in Magickal texts and grimoires is a notable one among Luciferians. It's kind of like the difference between listening to a symphony vs. listening to a guitar player in some band improvising a solo. The Magick is more in the improvised solo and the method to accessing that kind of magick is presented in The Wisdom of Eosphorous, which does have references to points in need of refinement, if that's your cup of tea. It helped me to better understand where he goes in The book of the Witch Moon, which I highly recommend to any Open-Minded Individual, and more importantly, to those who truly don't like his book.

The workings in the Witch Moon will support individual efforts of anyone with a balanced perspective. They open the mindscape to avenues much deeper within than "Make-a-million-with-no-money-down" currents of The Great Work. And the closed-minded will continue to wander around in dark, extroverted projections screaming for attention. Beyond that, I won't bore you with a polished, wholly complete and APA-style with a detailed analysis of the contents unless you have a genuine interest (zzzzzzzzzz....) I will say that you'll only like the books you're ready for. If you're ready for another step, please consider the aforementioned book and Book of the Witch Moon (perhaps even in that order, perhaps not). I have found through these works a succinct clarity and efficient, minimal use of effort in just about every area I have applied them to so far. Cheers. And Thank you, Michael W. Ford for sharing your knowledge with the world.
