Product Description

Review

... after reading 'The Essential Buyer's Guide' you should be able to spot a Bonnie from a T'Bird or an A7 from an RGS. - Classic Bike Guide -

... an invaluable handy reference source when looking at a machine with the intention of buying it ... the book does exactly what it sets out to do at a very reasonable £9.99, which could be money well spent. - inter-bike.co.uk -

If you're looking to buy a used BMW GS, this is one handy book. It'll fit in the pocket of your average touring jacket ... It's only 64 pages, but it's jam-packed with information. There's a list of websites, books, clubs and auction places. It's a great idea. - www.bikeme.tv -

Henshaw's writing is concise and his points are also well illustrated with plenty of colour photographs. This is the book to have in your back pocket if shopping for a GS. - Inside Motorcycles -

Interested in buying the big Beemer but buying new an issue? Brit author, Peter Henshaw's The Essential Buyer's Guide: BMW GS might be a worthwhile read. From the original R 80 G/S to the '06 model year, the book covers everything you'll need to know: pros and pitfalls. --Two Wheels

Sadly I was disappointed at how poor this book is. As a long term gs owner and as a professional Engineer, I was surprised at the lack of detail and the inaccuracies on checking critical GS points before buying. OK if you know nothing about BMW GSs otherwise - Very poor.

For the price I would have expected a lot more detail but this contains less information then you would find in a bike magazine article. I was hoping for an indepth analysis of the bike and its pros and cons rather then the throwaway lines offered here.
