5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! 29 Mar. 2016

I really like the Kagero 3D books. I own a number of their ship books and they are fantastic. Also keep in mind these books are mainly for the modeler. This book is great. Excellent color photos and reference for the modeler or anyone just interested in Wehrmacht motorcycles. It is not an in-depth technical study. If that is what you need, don't buy this book. if you are modeler and want to build one of the old 1/9 scale motorcycle model, buy this book. I have the BMW R 75 Solo as in Russia 1941 and I am going to build, using this book as a reference, the 1/9 scale BMW R75 with side car of the Afrikakorps or the book has great photos of the cycle in winter camo on the Russia front 1943. Decisions. Decisions.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor English; amazing photographs 16 Sept. 2013

The book is a translation of the original Polish and the text shows that English was probably not the translator's native language. The text is a fairly pedestrian explanation of the various BMW models used by the German Army, and is readable. What actually makes the book a worthwhile purchase is the quality of the photographs of the R71 and the R75 sidecar combinations. They more than make up for the poor translation. Although there are no restoration hints in the text, the photographs alone will be of great help to anyone restoring one of these old Kriegs Elefanten.
