It's very easy to fit, it's very sensitive to movement - there's no way you could move it without triggering the alarm, which, even though I stuck mine behind a panel, is still very loud! In fact, if it wasn't behind the panel it would be deafening!
The remote on/off fob is great, gives it a professional feel and it even has a flashing 'antenna' to warn people off.
Just two leads to connect to Positive & Negative 12V. the unit is weather proof, so no concerns about moisture.
Comes with optional mini LED blue light that flashes at 20 sec intervals to alert people that that bike is armed.
Anyone can install this unit, takes 10 minutes at most. Siren is quite loud and cannot be ignored by the public.(125dcb)
The alarm chirp is loud! Even when it beeps to advise it's armed still makes me jump with how loud it is and I occasionally do it on purpose to make my mates jump! ;) The range of the remote is good, I can arm my bike from the kitchen whilst it's on the drive.
My only issue with it is the remote buttons. They can far too easily be pressed accidentally which has caused some embarrassing moments. Three times the arm button has been pressed accidentally whilst on the road which then obviously caused the alarm to go off and me to end up with an extremely red face and some dodgy looks from onlookers. However for the price you can't really complain too much and it still gives me peace of mind at night. I will probably look at buying a more expensive alarm in the future to replace this one but as a temporary measure it's not a bad alarm at all.
Easy to fit (even thou the instructions are very basic you don't really need them), loud, nice blue led flashes when alarm on and quality remote control with good range.
The scooter is secure at home so I only use when leaving parked up, therefore no issues with battery drain when left standing for a while...
The instructions included are useless, they refer to some other alarm and are translated straight from Chinese.. Luckily, installation is very easy; red wire goes to the red terminal on the battery, black one on the black and the ground goes anywhere to the metal frame.
I've used it for a few days and haven't noticed any problems with the battery yet and I do not commute much (~3 miles a day). If you are electronics oriented, then know that the alarm uses about 3.0 mA of current (I've measured this), so it's power is about 36 mW (at 12 V). If you have a full 10 Ah battery in your bike, then it should last > 11.5 days before it's empty. Of course, this won't be a problem if you ride frequently.
Last thing, I've accidentally pressed the buttons on the fob on several occasions. This was while it was in the pocket of my jacket and I was trying to bend down to pick up gear from the ground.
