R. Burrows says:
Does anyone know which version of this story is the best? Hollywood or the BBC DVD, I've not seen either!

Hello - I personally think that the BBC version is better as it is faithful to the book. The Hollywood version was OK, but if you liked the book I would certainly recommend the BBC version. Hope that helps and enjoy!!

Yes I agree the BBC version is better, whilst I loved the film I do think Dramas slightly stick more to the truth and have a more real sense of history - if that makes sense?!?
However if your a lover of the Phillipa Gregory books and/or period dramas / films its worth getting both for the bookcase : -)
