I don't normally right reviews on Amazon, but felt compelled to right a review about this book.

I don't understand how anyone can rate this book below 5 stars. The first review on this book is just ridiculous where the reader complains that the book is a 'cut and paste' job. Its clearly not, Sean goes into an incredible amount of detail of each story he shares, and explains the notion behind each story, and what we should and can learn from history.

There is no better teacher than history. I had no idea Walt Disney had struggled so hard and how his passion and drive pushed him through every challenge, I had no idea that most of the people referenced in the story's which Sean writes about had gone through such incredible challenges. I've read a lot of books in this genre and this is my favourite book of all time.

Before this book, I had always tried to set goals and work through them blindly. Then you read this book and get a real life understanding how some of the most influential 'game changers' managed to achieve the most unbelievable results in just one lifetime.

You have to be someone who is really serious about getting the most out of your own life and the goals you've set to appreciate this book. I'm talking about life changing goals like starting a business or finding that new 'thing' which will change everything. This is what this book is all about, its a guide to how others have done it, and how others have completely gone beyond what is even humanly possible, and if you understand their mindset, you'll understand that no matter how large your goal is, you'll achieve it with the right plan of action. You'll see and understand that every single person didn't know HOW they would get there, they just knew that they would never stop trying.

This is a good collection of insights into the key traits of some of history's greatest characters. I think it does make you think about how you can incorporate these lessons into your own life and therefore I found it very interesting and useful.

I did find some stories more engaging than others, perhaps down to my own preference for recent history rather than ancient, so I felt some messages could have been conveyed in less words. However, as I suggested this may well be due to my own interests and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book.

Overall, well worth reading and great value.

My main problem with this book is I didn't like the way the points were communicated. The stories were well written but I they were too long and tiresome in my opinion. I like things laid out clearly.

The way it was written was ok but just not my cup of tea. I guess I didn't like the format of the book.

From the title I thought it was a book with steps how to further unlock your potential, not just some stories of famous people displaying a quality they possessed.

I'd consider myself only a beginner in terms of reading books like this but it really resonated with me. This book won't make you a genius per say but it is an initial step for someone that probably never even considered it. There's more to genius than a super smart freak and this book delves into that. The other thing I loved was the sort stories about geniuses of our time and why they were special. It has also made me excited to read further into the their lives and it makes you appreciate their actions and sacrifices to achieve what we all take for granted today. I showed a friend of mine some of the extracts and quotes this book contained which made him pick it up immediately. The low price is just another reason not to pick this up! I look forward to this months book club Sean ;)

I just completed the kindle version and I must say that I am quite satisfied. I found the book highly interesting and inspiring. It basically uses the stories of several "geniuses" along the history to pinpoint the principles or values that have made them succeed in their respective areas of knowledge.

I must say that after reading it, it has actually awaken my inner need to engage or focus seriously on something that could give more sense or purpose to my life. Perhaps my intention is not precisely become a "genius" in the complete meaning of the word, but the idea is to get the satisfaction of finding my full potential in some activity, my work in this case.

In summary, I think you'll find the book very motivating to find your "inner genius" and if not, at least interesting at go through the life of so many personalities.
