There is a much thumbed copy of this book on the bar of the Cross Guns pub and on a recent visit I started to read it. The interesting history of canal, aqueduct, railway and water driven mills are all described as well as the fascinating use of what you cannot see; i.e. the underground WW2 munitions factory and storage vaults. My train was due all too soon to carry me homeward and I just had to have my own copy. Amazon supplied it within 48 hours. Jim Sargeant, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire.
