Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson reprise their roles as the Marvel superheroes in this action sequel written and directed by Joss Whedon. In an attempt to bring peace to the world Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Downey Jr) creates Ultron (voice of James Spader), a robot with artificial intelligence. However, instead of protecting humans, Ultron believes the only way to restore peace to Earth is to eliminate its citizens. The Avengers - Iron Man, Thor (Hemsworth), the Hulk (Ruffalo), Captain America (Evans), Black Widow (Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) - team up once again to save the day, but can they defeat Ultron before he obliterates the human race? The cast also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson.

This is a cool, fun action movie with a reasonable amount of depth for this type of film and serves as a great addition to the Marvel universe, artistically realised and seamlessly integrated with the previous films. My only gripe is that some of the pacing is sometimes off a little and some of the cuts and switches between scenes irk slightly (especially in the earlier part of the film), which I wouldn't expect with a film that is otherwise perfectly polished. Can't wait for number 3!
and 'Bruce Banner' - Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) investigate the component unaware they were creating an ultimate threat to the whole of
mankind in the shape of.......
'Ultron' who has an agenda, he intends to create and army of machines to help him destroy the Avengers and mankind in it's entirety
but initially needs the help of 'The Scarlett Witch' (Elizabeth Olsen) and her brother who are the sole survivors of enemy that originally
been working on 'Ultron'
As 'Ultron' gains strength and power the Avengers know they are mankinds only hope though the odds are stacked against them, even
'The Scarlett Witch' realizing 'Ulton's' intent aligns herself with 'Iron Man' - 'The Hulk' - the hammer swinging son of 'Odin' 'Thor' (Chris
Hemsworh) - 'Captain America' (Chris Evans) - The Black Widow' (Scarlett Johansson) and 'Hawkeye' (Jeremy Renner) with a little help
of course from 'Nick Fury' (Samuel L Jackson) as the battle to save mankind erupts onto the screen..........but can the Avengers really
prevent 'Ultron' from imposing his will ??
This again a splendid visual spectacle filled with numerous superb action sequences.
Great watch in both 3-D and indeed 2-D.

There was some great CGI on show, but I think someone should have looked more critically at the use of humour - mostly it just raised a wry smile from me when I'm sure the intention was to make us laugh; it was a bit like listening to your uncle's bad jokes and then smiling to humour the old duffer! And I'm not saying there shouldn't be any humour - far from it! It's just that I think that the humour should have been fine-tuned a bit more for maximum effect. But, that aside, it was a very enjoyable film - the new Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver characters were quite spectacular to watch, with excellent CGI effects. And the Hulkbuster scenes were some of the best of the film, and well worth waiting for.
