This box set is even better than the first. It contains some smashing episodes of my favourite series of all time. In "The Living Dead" Emma gets imprisoned in an underground city but escapes just in time to rescue Steed. The marvellous episode "The Hidden Tiger" is also included in this set. It's absolutely a five star episode in which cats can be turned into ferocious wild animals by remote control. The school for gentlemen from "The Correct Way to Kill" is also absolutely a highlight in the Avengers Series. In "Never, Never Say Die" Christopher Lee gets run down by a car twice. "Epic" is, just like "The Joker" (not included on this set), one of those episodes I most fondly remember. It's a wonderful Emma Peel episode in which see makes a movie whether see likes it or not. Director ZZ von Scherk makes a great and eccentric baddy in this one. For the fans of John Steed there is the last episode on this set "The Superlative Seven". Steed is of course one of the chosen Superlatives.
Sound quality is good considering this series were made more than three decennia ago. But the episode "The Hidden Tiger" features a few seconds nasty distortion. Picture quality more than makes up for the minor flaws in sound quality. Picture is sharp and colours are bright. The extras include a wonderful picture gallery, containing pictures of The Avengers and their cars and spectacular sixties fashion. A nice bonus is the interview for German television. The "Follow That Hat" option again is a little disappointing but all in all these discs are more than worth the money and should be added to the collection of every cult series fan. John Steed and the beautiful Emma Peel are absolutely marvellous on this one. I can hardly wait for the release of the next box set.

A quote from my brother in law, for whom I bought the set.

"The Dutch company have done an outstanding job on the remastering - both visually and from the audio point of view - they could have been made yesterday!"

Brilliant TV classic from the swinging 1960's. Only watched two episodes so far, DVD quality, picture and sound very good. As an Avengers fan I am bound to say it is excellent and I will - "it is excellent"! The extra features are also very interesting. They don't make quirky things like this today - I don't think they'd know where to start ! No foul language so I'd say it is suitable for family viewing. I watched it when I was a kid and still enjoy it now, my mom used to say it was daft, well perhaps it is a bit sometimes but thats all part of the entertainment ! Things are much too serious these days.
