I wanted a pair of bluetooth headphones to replace my wired ear plugs.
Initially I sniffed around online reviews for 'on the ear' types which could fold to lay flattish for my backpack. However, I quickly realised that these seem to have problems with external noise isolation so my search immediately narrowed down to 'over the ear' types.
As this was going to be an online purchase I wouldn't be able to try different models, I therefore relied on online reviews.
I'm not an audiophile, nor do I play games, I just wanted good music and video sound quality and thus low latency. It's possible to pay hundreds of dollars/pounds/euros for these devices, but I had a budget. The reviews I read, the videos I saw all gave this model from Avantree top marks so I quickly ordered a pair from Amazon, along with a low latency Bluetooth transmitter/receiver. Both arrived quickly and after charging them, testing began.
It was simplicity itself to get the headphones working with both my phone and tablet. A quick run through some YouTube videos to check speech latency revealed these headphones to be absolutely perfect. I could not detect any lack of speech synchronisation, the sound quality was excellent - clear without being excessively bassy and they were comfortable. Certainly they effectively cut off most external noise to make the sound stream nice and clear. In addition, the long battery life was another buying factor for me and so far I haven't got round to a second charge yet.
These headphones also had no problem at all pairing up with my little Bluetooth transmitter, so I was able to use them to listen to the TV in bed while my wife slept.
I must also mention the case they came in. It is perfect for carrying the heaphones of course, but also my chargers, cables and Bluetooth transmitter. All in all, a very convenient little package.

Firstly they are insanely comfortable and really can be worn for hours on end. My main criteria was comfortable bluetooth headphones so I can’t really complain on that score. The other thing that is good is obviously the price. I’ve compared them with my husbands pretty expensive pair of Sony headphones and I have to say that these are more comfortable and not really a massive difference on sound quality (that I can hear anyway, but I’m no means a music aficionado!) Another plus point is that they come with a case so you don’t have to shell out another £10-£20 for that. They also come with charging cable and a connection cable for when you don’t want to use wireless Bluetooth. Battery life seems really good though.
Now unfortunately we come to the not so good. The main point I have is that the Bluetooth sometimes drops and I struggle to reconnect with my iPhone. This isn’t a deal breaker for me as I don’t expect perfect connection at this price point. However they also often have a lag between the sound and what’s actually playing which is really annoying and there’s no way I’ve found to stop that apart from completely resetting / rebooting your headphones and / or the app. Another minor gripe is that, although the headphones are foldable, you can’t actually fold them any smaller than pictured to get them into a small case which you can with other similar looking headphones. This means the case and transporting them becomes pretty bulky. My last reason for the star rating is that sometimes when the Bluetooth isn’t working and I just can’t be bothered, I plug in the connecting cable and on some occasions that doesn’t even work. It then does work if I unplug it and swap the ends! Who knows what’s going on there.
All in all it’s a pretty good set of headphones for the price but I am considering returning them as my main reason for buying them (for comfort) is outweighed by the fact that I often can’t get the bluetooth to work reliably. I can’t justify paying more for bluetooth when it’s not reliable.
Update - customer service is very good so I’ll add a star for that. I had an email with troubleshooting tips for my issues plus any other help I needed. In the end I’ve returned them as they believe my pair may be faulty.

The company did replace the headphones and they are just as good... and bad... as the initial pair. I’m not sure the initial pair was faulty. Possibly the new pair don’t lose the bluetooth connection quite as often, however that just could be because I haven’t had these as long and tested them as extensively. They are still a good pair of headphones and compare to the very expensive makes I would say they are comparable but of course the Bluetooth has to be reliable and my gripe on size still stays. The carry case is just bigger than you need I guess. They do fold smaller than the case supplied so I assume you could buy another smaller case.
The comfort of these headphones is the best feature. Over any other headphones I’ve tried (and even over the headphones I have bought instead of these), these are still the winners on comfort.
Customer service really is incredibly good and to be fair to them they believe that my issue with Bluetooth is that I have interference from other devices. I am not sure if this is correct or not but the other Bluetooth pair I have bought don’t seem to have an issue with Bluetooth interference.
