It's fast, it's fun, it's addictive and it will blow your mind! Boggle is an explosive word game featuring five great ways to play! There's Classic that'll have you frantically scanning a letter grid to create as many words as possible. Time is ticking, so you must be fast and quick-witted if you want to beat your opponent. If that's not mind boggling enough then try Breakaway, it's like Classic but in 3D!
Play a war of words with your friends in Battle Boggle or travel to a new astrological plane with Space. It'll leave you breathless as you frantically create words out of the stream of letters that flows ever faster towards you. Chip away furiously at the grid of letters in the In Your Face level. Create words and the letters disappear but only to reveal a new layer! And if you're after an even greater challenge then try the same games in French, German or Spanish. Compete against friends, family or even Mr Boggle himself, over a local area network or the Internet. Boggle you can't be stuck for words.

This works find on Windows XP. It may work on more recent versions of Windows, but there's no claim of that on the packaging and I haven't tried it. Anyway, it's a good fun casual game, that I've wasted far too much time on already. It has the obviously flaw that it's old and its design really shows that, but it's unfair to penalize it for that.
It runs in a quite small non-resizable Window, which sometimes resists being moved. There are some crappy quality videos and animations that can't be skipped, because back then (this was originally written for Windows 95, I think) you were supposed to be in awe at that amazing quality and no-one could imagine that anyone would ever want to skip these beautiful displays even after seeing them thousands of times already. And when you close the program there's a slightly irritating unskippable credits scroll (except it does get skipped if you're shutting down windows). None of this is unusual for a casual game from that era.
There's no online activation or similar (back then, computers with no internet access were quite common), so it works fine on an offline PC without needing cracks, which is of course essential now that XP is unsupported.
The dictionary (obviously purely offline) has some odd entries and some odd things missing. It can give definitions, but not for all words it claims exists. You can add words to the dictionary but they don't seem to be remembered past the current run of the program unless there's a save dictionary option I haven't spotted.
Playing with a mouse is much better for easily selecting letters IMO than trying to use the mini-stick on an XBox-One controller.
I've only played the traditional game, and only in single player mode. Despite the above "it's old" stuff, it's still fun, and given a chance could probably waste time as well as Solitaire or Freecell.
However...upon install, I experienced corrupt file failures and full on system crashes!
Windows 10 (64bit) DOES NOT like this old school game!
Anyone with ideas/suggestions on how to fix, would be much appreciated.
ps. I have tried running this on 'previous platform' modes... and still nothing!
#sad face, mind boggled!
