Clear, informative and easy to use.

This book is clear, informative and easy to use. Exactly what you want from a beginners book. I have very limited experience with AutoCAD but I wanted to learn some more about it as it is becoming more important in projects I am involved with at work. I tried just playing about with AutoCAD myself but I quickly got lost, fed up and gave in - AutoCAD wasn't for me. However, I decided to give it another shot after seeing this book. It wasn't long before I was drawing some simple shapes and I could navigate round the interface.
This book is excellent for beginners as you don't need AutoCAD experience to use it so you can get used to the software as you progress throughout the book. Each chapter starts with an introduction where it sets out what you will learn and includes exercises so that you learn as you are practicing. Each step is clear and concise and there are images which accompany the text. I had to go back and work through some examples a few times but soon you will get the hang of it and it is much easier than just playing with the software yourself.
I don't expect to become an expert with this book. I really just want to know what AutoCAD is and how we can use it at work. This book has been really informative and I think it is useful for anyone who wants a bit of knowledge behind the software.
