A good review of Autism - very useful reference if you have a child who's just been diagnosed or just want to know more. It goes through diagnosis, symptoms and a range of treatments (medication and behavioural). You also get tips on how to live, understand and care for someone with autism.

Helpful short guide to help me understand the problems faced when caring and supporting autistic children. A useful reference for the future too.

simply presented but clear. Touches on some current research. would have liked bit more about how to help children & families cope which were lacking but useful for such brief book

I found the first few pages of this book poorly edited. I have given up trying to read it.

While there is still a lot to learn about autism, the book explores quite a bit about the causes, types of screenings, symptoms, and treatments. Autism can be a difficult disease to handle for the sufferer as well as loved ones. I have not had contact with anyone with autism, but want to understand how it affects those who suffer from autism. This book has so much great information that I now have a broader knowledge of autism and I would highly recommend this book.

Firstly to one specific idiot, autism is not a disease. One plonker should read more to reduce ones own Ignorance and ensure not to offend
