Review
When Australian food writer and restaurateur Bill Granger opened his first restaurant in Sydney in the early 90s, people flocked there to enjoy his legendary brunch dishes. Since then, Bill has opened several Granger & Co restaurants in London. His new cookbook features some of his best-selling brunch dishes, including the iconic ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter & banana. --BBC Good Food

I like Bill Grangers books and there are some lovely recipes in this tome.. I am going to have a crack at the duck breast in beetroot and cherry ponzu sauce tonight.
However I am not sure how Aussie this really is. It is full of interesting fusion ideas, well written and photographed, but feel the title a bit misleading.
Bang on trend so I am reliably informed by the Notting Hill lunching brigade though!

I've already tried a few recipes after recieving this a couple of weeks ago and it's a thumbs up from me! Every recipe is accompanied by a photo (super helpful) and I like the fact that there are not too many obscure ingredients — I already had a lot stuff in my cupboard and fridge. A lot of the dishes from the Granger & Co restaurants are here, which is particularly helpful during lockdown! Such a nicely presented book, will be ordering a few as Christmas presents.

My son bought this for his girlfriend after they visited Granger & Co in London. It has the main recipes from the restaurant, including the ricotta hotcakes which are divine!
It also has a huge range of hot salad dishes, mains and desserts, as well as all the brunch recipes so there is a very wide selection. Plus the book looks brilliant on display in the kitchen!

Beautiful photography, but more importantly so very many amazing recipes. Literally just want to get cooking. Great write ups on the recipes and really just a fabulous cookbook. To be enjoyed both as a flick through read, and in the kitchen where it can get splattered and put to use.

As an ex London restaurateur I treat myself to a new ‘cookbook’ every year. This is the best ever. Fresh, yummy and new. I am working my way through it and enjoying every single page and recipe. Buy it - it’s definitely worth it.

I love this book! Beautiful recipes (good mix of things you can whip up with what's in your fridge vs. more complex dishes), fantastic book design, every recipe is accompanied by an image. Tells a lovely story of the author/chef - it feels really personal. A lovely slice of Aussie goodness.

Nothing Australian about this book.
There are better books around for 'fusion' style cooking.
