Aurora Fernández Per was born in Minas de Río-Tinto (Spain) in 1957. She studied Journalism and wrote in several Spanish newspapers and magazines. In 1994, she founded a+t architecture publishers. She forms part of a+t research group, together with the architects Javier Mozas and Javier Arpa. They are responsible for wide research on collective housing, density, mixed uses and public space included in a+t publications.
Arpa, Fernández Per and Mozas are the authors of the Density series books -Dbook, Density Condensed, Density Projects, HoCo, Next and Density is Home-, which became a reference for publications about collective housing worldwide.
They have lectured at numerous Universities, Institutions and International Workshops, like the Graz University of Technology’s Dense Cities symposium and the Master´s Degree in Collective Housing of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid.
