As to the book itself: It suffers the usual issues with self-publishing, i.e. editing, but that doesn't detract from the storyline.
I think he has too many mm ain characters for my tastes and I find myself disinterested in most. A few moved along nicely but not too much depth to any of them. Female A has a different history to Female B but no shining personality to differentiate them.
A couple of twists which were nice and a couple of minor errors that stood out. As much to do with editing as anything. As an example, one character got a promotion between two paragraphs with no "here is a promotion" context.
Still, all that aside, I'll be buying the 3rd book. And if you knew how miserly I am with my money...
Hats off to anyone who can put pen to paper and write a story though...
They set up home with hope, although suitable for human habitation, they decide to wear their breathing masks permanently until such time that their scientists deem the air is safe to breathe.
They name their new home Aurora, together they start to build a new life, until, one of their number takes it on himself to govern the society the same as that on Earth.
This doesn't sit well with some of the populace, who split from the Governor's supporters to eke out an existence alone and away from the mounting oppression of the newly formed Government.
Excellent story, brilliant concept, danger, excitement, awe and wonder. Highly recommended.
A wonderful read Andreas through your writing you have so far given us HOPE for a future, I just can't wait to read how that develops in the final book.
This second book is really good and the way in which things pan out is well written and i really enjoyed it,in fact i managed to read the whole book during one quiet night shift at work.
There is a good twist later on and the only bad thing i can say is that it was too short
Having said that i am looking forward to the next installment to see if mankind can survive ?
Although I enjoyed the previous book it was really setting the scene for the actual science fiction story. After the threat that earth will be destroyed those that have escaped arrive on the planet that they have named Aurora.
However the old tensions are still there and the settlers divide into two factions. As the story develops I got a real feeling for the characters and the intrigues going on. As things progress there are a couple of twists that I did not expect and I am now looking forward to reading the last of the trilogy.
Although a slow start in the previous book this one brings to life a new planet that is subtly different to earth.
Well worth a read.
