The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Extended Edition [Blu-ray] [2001]

This is the first time I have been on here so apologies in advance for any mess-ups.

I have been unable to get the audio from the extended Blu Ray trilogy box set to come out of my left front speaker. I have a decent Blu ray player and 7.1 Yamaha amp that is only 5 years old. I also have a full 7.1 speaker set up and have no problems at all with brand new Blu Rays like Harry Potter. I know my amp will not support full HD sound but it should default to Dolby EX 6.1.

Has anyone else had similar issues? I have taken the dics to the Hi fi shop and they cannot access the 'older' sound format on their set-up either, despite it being apparently avalible on the dics menu.

Frustrating -I was looking forward to this so much!
