I cannot rate these highly enough. This was my first venture into the higher end of the headphone market and after a lot of research (and a lot of bad reviews about a certain celebrity endorsed headphone) I decided on the ATH-M50's.

These are a studio headphone so the length of the cable may be an issue if you're intending to use them on the move. This however can be sorted by cable braiding or simply using the twist-able wire ties that come with most wired products.

I've teamed these with an iPod with a line out cable and a fiio portable amp and they sound incredible. I've noticed riffs and licks in songs I've never heard even with a fairly decent stereo set up at home. The only downside so far is that you may have to do some cleaning up of your music library as any lower quality recordings aren't fit for the sound capable of being produced by these cans :)

I've actually started to make time during the day to listen through my entire music collection all over again

I bought these headphones for my boyfriend after he had read countless reviews on them saying how good they were. They were quite expensive (I thought) but well worth the money, as he cannot praise them enough. He says you can hear things in records that he never knew were in them. His dad who is hard of hearing tried them too & said the same thing. The only negative is that because the cups are big that go over the ear, can make you a bit sweaty after a while. Otherwise cant praise them enough.

Had these headphones for 8 months now and they are simply amazing for the money, perfect quality and not stupidly overdone with the bass unlike Dre's Beats. You want a perfect set of headphones then these I can't recommend enough.

Can't fault the sound or build quality. Better than Bose or Beats for similar prices. Only four stars as they are a bit heavy and hot after a while. These are clearly not designed to be the sort of headphones to wear out and about so if that is what you want then these won't work for you. Long cable useful indoors though.

They work perfectly, the sound quality is excellent and I could not be more pleased. A very tiny disadvantage is that if you wear glasses, after some time the ear area will start to hurt because the headphones press your ears against the glasses. But I am guessing that will happen with any headphones this big...
