For the price these are pretty much unbeatable. They cover the full range of human hearing and are comfortable to wear. Closed cell means they will block out any and nearly all outside noise. They're excellent for monitoring studio playback and recording which is why I bought them.

You can easily spend more for headphones, but there's a point when it's not necessary and anything above that is just a waste of money. These fit the bill perfectly.

I am used to high quality headphones needing considerable "burn-in" time to sound at all decent, so I was surprised that, even out of the box, these provided the best sound I have enjoyed from headphones. They are very neutral, bass is not exaggerated and treble is not shrill, but both are effortlessly there when needed. The sound is precisely detailed, and involving just because it is so natural. It is a nice prospect that they should get even better with more use. Despite their size they are extremely light and comfortable to wear, with the weight supported by the headband rather than the ears.

Never owned audio technica headphones before, they were recomended for use with my 16 track Yamaha digital recorder. The sound is really full, clear and precise. Comfortable to wear and seem built for many years of service.

My daughter wanted a pair of decent 'over ear' headphones but I was reluctant to spend over £100 as I didn't think that she would look after them. I did some research on the ATH M35 headphones which received good reviews as did almost every other pair of headphones that Audio-Technica make. When they arrived I decided to do a comparison with my Bose QC15 over ear noise cancelling headphones that cost £270. To my surprise, these £59 headphones sounded better than the Bose with lots of detail and a really nice bass sound (and they were comfortable as well). I like listening to good quality music and have recently spent over £1500 on some decent hi-fi separates (Monitor-Audio, Cambridge Audio etc). Suffice to say, these headphones sound fantastic and are more than worth the price tag. Very highly recommended.

I bought these headphones for my son, who is learning to play the guitar and wants to be able to practise without annoying his family. I looked at reviews of various products, and was concerned that closed headphones might be rather uncomfortable. However he is very pleased with them, and has no complaints with regard to comfort. This was his comment: "The headphones are great, totally soundproof so I can turn it up as much as I want. They'll be good for watching films on planes and playing PS3 as well I reckon".

On the whole, I'm happy with the earphones, and I'm gradually beginning to hear sounds and textures that weren't evident previously. However, I have to say that there isn't a massive amount of difference in quality between the ATH-M35 and the standard "bud" earphones that come with an iPhone, and I don't know what to make of that. Perhaps the ATH-M35 aren't quite as good as they should be, or the Apple earphones are punching far above their weight? Who knows.

The build quality is excellent, and there's a reassuring sturdiness and stiffness, though the design itself doesn't exactly exude quality, what with the use of very cheap looking plastic. The cable is easily long enough to allow me the pleasure of listening to my music while visiting the smallest room in the house, if I so wished.

They lose a star due to the pain they cause from prolonged use, whereby my ears are squashed against my head. Softer cups would have helped.

If you are looking for good quality headphones at a reasonable price, look no further! Good build and great sound quality! A very nice purchase, ill be using these for a while. Good costumer service. Only one thing to comment about and that is the cable length. It is a bit long for my liking but these are designed for mixing. I can easily buy from this seller again.

I looked at numerous headphones before choosing these. I wanted quality but also value for money as headphones seem to be exorbitantly priced these days. I had previously had sennheiser headphones which I would also highly recommend, but I fancied trying something different. These were recommended on a review of headphones that I read so I decided to give them a shot. I use them in the gym when I lift weights so they do need to be able to take a bit of jostling. They also need to kick out some sound. They are sturdy enough for my needs and the sound is very good. I am very pleased with them and would highly recommend.
