Start a Multi-room Revolution
Old School Speakers Turn Multiroom
Make the Audio Pro Link 1 connection and bring classic audio hardware roaring into the 21st Century. No more redundant units looking lost and gathering dust in the corner, simply plug your favourite Bluetooth or wired powered speaker, hi-fi or receiver into the Audio Pro Link 1 using the 3.5mm stereo jack or TOSlink optical port and let the magic begin. Within seconds your much-loved hardware, once thought obsolete, can be detected and streamed to (through Link 1) across a home WiFi network, resurrecting its own sweet nostalgic sound multi-room style!
Streaming Solo with Spotify Connect and Airplay
Though a great addition to an Audio Pro multi-room system, the Link 1 is equally effective working alone. Spotify Connect and Apple Airplay enabled, a few simple swipes of a smartphone or mobile device and the Link 1 will have you streaming pure, uninterrupted sound direct to its connected audio device before you can say ‘lightening cable’. No interruptions, no further expense of additional speakers brought into the system. You control the sound just how you like it.
No Bones Set-up
Pair and play in seconds. Stream direct via popular streaming service or compose your own multi-room masterpiece via the Audio Pro App, the wireless capabilities of the Audio Pro Link 1 allow seamless connection and set-up across the home WiFi network. Connect several Link units throughout the home to sync up existing analogue set-ups, or install on an individual basis to enable direct streaming to a Bluetooth or older Audio Pro device. Modern or traditional, Bluetooth, optical or analogue - as a truly open system, the Link 1 takes almost any existing system and makes it your own.
Pondering one of life's questions, or wanting to mix up your playlist a little, why not ask Alexa to help? The Audio Pro Control App conveniently integrates Alexa voice control, opening up access to a whole new world of music in addition to Alexa’s countless skills and search capabilities. Speak to Alexa through the Audio Pro App on your device and hear your requested music or response play through the connected Audio Pro speakers (including those connected via Link 1).

- Customise your music network
- Free to download on Android and iOS
- Easy to use
- Control nearby Audio Pro speakers from one device
- Drag and drop speakers into rooms or create L/R pairs for stereo impact
- One-touch adjustment of attributes such as volume, tremble and bass
Bluetooth connectivity has been allowing us to enjoy wireless audio for years, so why switch to Wi-Fi? Well, for a start, the Wi-Fi audio connection is much more reliable. Music is played directly across a wireless network rather than trusting in being able to connect to a specific mobile device or computer. This not only creates a smoother sound, but it also makes controlling that sound a little easier. Simultaneously stream various playlists, radio stations and audio seamlessly across speakers within the network, even when accepting an incoming call.
Welcome to the Audio Pro Family
For Audio Pro it’s not just about selling speakers, it’s about creating an all-round unforgettable audio experience. That’s why they allow any of the Audio Pro C-Series speakers to be wirelessly paired with existing classic, analogue hi-fi units and speakers. Simply add a Link 1 adapter and create a truly open, unique and fully customisable sound system.
Wi-Fi vs. Bluetooth

With the bluetooth setup, it was more intuitive for one person. You simply connect your phone and control everything with your phone. However, your phone has to be active and within range, plus phone calls and message notifications disrupt the audio. It can be annoying plus it's a big battery drain. And you can't share playback with others easily.
With this device, you have to commit to AudioPro's app, which is not perfect, but it gets the job done especially for internet radio and the major streaming services. And you have to use wi-fi, but that allows better audio quality anyway. Unlike my T-10 speaker, there is no bluetooth connection.
Plenty of reviews I've seen (not just Amazon) have complained about this device not being able to reconnect or be identified by your phone. I also encountered this problem but realized that the firmware for the device needed to be updated. So the trick is to get connected the first time, then navigate into the device's settings and look for a big red "New" notification. It wasn't obvious to me at first, but simply tapping the word "New" enabled the update process and I haven't had any difficulty connecting to the device since then.
The app isn't as perfect as Sonos, but I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Bluesound app, so I tend to think everyone except Sonos is struggling with their apps. This one works pretty reliably in the years that I've owned both the speaker and now this Link 1. The app doesn't have all the major US-based music streaming services, but it has many of the big ones and a couple of obscure ones. I'm going to stick with it, but there's still a very good argument for also having a Bluetooth connection.
Sounds great so far. Further listening required!
Update: The system sounds great, and the audio coming from my 5 HT speakers, three Addon C10's, and two C-Subs is perfectly synchronized. The audio stream from the Link-1 to my HT is two channel, 44.1KHz PCM, and appears to be a faithful reproduction of the Flac file on my home NAS box. I subtracted one star due to the App, which covers all of the functional bases, but needs work.
The second Link 1 I received would not connect to my wifi network, and would not illuminate its wifi icon. This morning, less than 24 hours after setting up my the multiroom system, the iphone app could not find *either* the C10 or Link1 that had been previously set up. I was able to run the setup sequence again and reconnect to the C10. Unfortunately now the Link1 that was working previously will not connect to my wireless network, and its wifi icon will not illuminate. I will be returning both the Link 1s. I am happy with the sound from the C10, but am now concerned that I will have to reconnect it to the app each time I use it.
