Terminator 3: Redemption (PS2)
This is the Terminator Universe like you've never experienced it. Skynet machines run rampant across L.A. roads and freeways, hunting down humanity. Your mission: destroy them and salvage mankind.
Drive, fight and blast across the Terminator timeline, from the present-day to 2032, to a shocking, desolate alternate future. It's a race to protect John Connor, Kate Brewster... and tomorrow.

Although there has already been a T3 game already released, it is truelly outclassed compared to Redemption, as this title brings you even further into the Terminator universe than anything before it, and it is done with absolutely beautiful graphics.
The plotline is very basic, go back in time and ensure the survival of John Conner and Kathrine Brewster, yet the game itself isn't.
Ranging from the various car chases to the gruelling gunfights this game remains true to the Terminator style in every way possible....Sound easy?....guess again...this game will drive you to the point of self termination as it's so damn hard! yet you still want to go back for more.
To lay things down, here a list of the pro's and cons of this superb title
*It's bloody hard
*Everything looks like it should, be it the devastated L.A of the future or Arnold the barbarian...it has all been beautifully created
*Re-live classic terminator moments from the films through the driving and combat sequence's
*Upgrade your Terminator and make him more Bad-Ass than he already is
*A brilliant soundtrack including Bad to the bone
*Clips from the movie blend in seamlessly with the CGI game clips and presents a whole new version of T3 that is even better than the movie itself
*It's bloody hard!!
*Most of the Governators voice work was done by a voice double (or so it seems)
*A little on the short side (which is probably why it's so hard)
*Arnie's one liners can get a bit annoying
*Loading times are a bit too long, especially when you know that you'll be re-loading the same level about 9 times
I hope you find this review helpful and that it will encourage you to buy this game rather than turn you away from it
A promising game with excellent graphics based on one of the best movie franchises of all time...
...and nearly every level consists of the player chasing something whilst trying to keep other terminators or the police, or the T-X or some other annoyance at bay...
It'll get to all but the most die hard of Terminator fans after the first two or three levels.
This takes many of the most familiar traits from the films - shoot-outs, chases, cyborg-on-cyborg wrestling - and mixes them all up to terrific effect. Like the films, the action is visceral, intense, with exciting music, gorgeous graphics and even the ability to make Arnie deliver one-liners at the tap of the R2 button ("you're fired"). Fans of the movies are sure to enjoy the levels set in post-apocalyptic battlefields, as well as the way that Arnie's flesh reacts to damage, exposing his glowing red eyes and metallic limbs.
An essential purchase for Terminator fans, and anyone who enjoys addictive action games; be warned, however, that the game is very tough in places, with some levels requiring lots of replays.
Levels can be seriously liner at times, restricting you to a certain path in one level your in a tunnel moving at high speed on a gliders back with various fans blocking your way you have to destroy until you get to the end of the tunnel with an odd turning that changes to another similar tunnel and situation, that's pretty much it on that level, other levels have multiple paths to pick from with shortcuts to gain speed different weapons and vehicles as well as backdrop settings crashed jets etc, game really could have done with a free roam ability to explore areas but strictly follows a set path which can take some of the enjoyment of the game away.
